Hi movie marauders! Patty Jenkins, who directed Wonder Woman (2017), will return to direct the sequel!! This makes Jenkins the highest paid female director! Congrats!! I am so happy for this news because Jenkins deserves to direct Wonder Woman 2 because she did amazing with the first film. Wonder Woman 2 is in trusted hands and we can all relax. ~Wonder Woman (2017) Blu-ray & DVD is out tomorrow 9/19 and on Digital HD now!!~ Read on if you want to know all about the sequel and my opinion on this news!
Wonder Woman 2--What We Know
It will be directed by Jenkins, and will once again star Gal Gadot as Diana Prince. The sequel is set to release December 13, 2019 (ugh, so far away!). Wonder Woman 2 will take place in the 1980's (following the Cold War) instead of after the Justice League (2017) movie. This means it will be another origin-like story that still follows Diana without other superheroes being involved (yay!)
Jenkins apparently wants it to be set in the United States, and wants the Invisible Jet to make it into the sequel (double yay!) The only cast information that we have is Gal Gadot, but other than that the villain and other characters have not been announced. I am very excited to see Diana's next adventure, and maybe she will finally be coined the name Wonder Woman in the sequel?!

I was so worried that Jenkins would not be directing this project, but now I am so relieved. She has done great work with Wonder Woman, and has changed the stereotypes of superhero movies. Jenkins definitely has the right intentions with Wonder Woman's character, and I am *not so patiently* waiting for the next film. I am excited for the possibility of the Invisible Jet and I hope that Lynda Carter will make a cameo (Carter played Wonder Woman on the TV show).
