Never mind, this article is about five things that had us disturbed watching movies as a kid.
1.Ghost Hunters,
Is this just me or the rest of the African kid who grew up like me watching those crazy nollywood movies, yes! Clutching our fingers against the popcorn pack sorry! I forgot popcorn wasn't the thing then.
It was just me struggling with the pot of soup and the layers of Eba sitting in front of me like a mountain, almost making me feel like my mum had set me up for a suicide mission. Then the movie goes on, on that small electronic vacuum and it gets dark in there and dead men from the other world as proposed, set out to invade the real world, all in the movie though.
This is what happens next! I can't sleep, I see the ghost everywhere. I feel the ghost will be out of the TV screen to hunt me. And heyo! then I get off run to mama and wet the end of her wapper with my tears like 'Mama! yo! save my ass just this once, don't like this Yoruba ghost take me away.'
2.Killer Bean
Fine! it would be so stupid of me to lay a rant about killer bean, you know the killer bean right?
Shit! you don't! Let me push you this explanation like a bag of beans.
It started like a movie..., oh you feel the game came out first? Keep your ideas Hommie! I am the writer here, let your ideas stay with you now! at least till I am gone.
Whatever! Killer bean is about one crazy bean who was killed through out the entire game and movie.
Never mind! back to the story gigs, it feels good taking you around the world in my wordy vehicle to disrupt one crazy holocaust.
My term killer bean is about movie scenes with so much death scenes which leads to the exit of my favorite character.
You know how I feel when anyone died in a movie when I was a kid, Yas! I feel so much pain like the he or she is my sister because I feel she is dead real life.
Man! I was tricked.
3.Super powers!
Take my tears on this.
I used to feel jetli could fly buildinga in real life. Beat up badass as quick as he use to do in movies.
But yeah! I grew up to the word 'film trick' settling behind my head.
And those guys who fly in movies.
I felt they could fly and shoot fire balls real life.
4.Sleeping Beauty
When ever I turn on the TV and push in that America movie and they start with just talks I just finalize that the movie will never be interesting.
Movies with shootings and all only fascinate me.
I would just turn off the TV but most of the time I would sleep off.
5.SEX SCENE
even after so much guidance by mama, making sure the sex scenes dont jump at us.
At times when they are away we witness some, though lit and not strong, but the movement and all.
We feel No! this can't be real.
My favourite character won't let her self get smashed like this.
So until I grew up and though it was hard. Then I believed some sex scenes were real and my favorite characters were been touched, real life. 😥😥😥😥
