Steemit communities and projects that worth being part of

in #mspsteem6 years ago (edited)

The growing adoption of the Steemit platform, and the permanence of its users, is due in large part to the projects, communities and applications that are developed in parallel with the platform. There are all kinds of communities and projects, ranging from art, music, and literature communities to programming, development, and curation projects. Whatever the case, all communities and projects based on Steemit, in one way or another, offer tools for better management of the platform, provide incentives for content publishing, and provide support to those who need it.

The main incentive in using Steemit is curation , but when you are part of a community you get the chance to earn much more than that. You can form friendships, gain support, participate in special activities (contests, sweepstakes, awards...), share and acquire knowledge, and contribute to the growth of the platform with your participation.

There is no doubt that each project and community is unique, and many of the ones I mention here are already quite popular, but since there are a large number of communities and new users, It doesn't hurt to make recommendations. For these reasons I decided to recommend the communities and projects, which, in my opinion, are worth to be in and being part of their activity.

Some projects are not for everyone, several of them require a certain degree of knowledge or skill to promin more naturally. For this reason it is advisable to choose a project or community that suits your tastes, and in which you feel comfortable, so that you can identify with it, and make a greater contribution.

Minnowsupport (P.A.L.)
Minnowsupport is the largest project and community of Steemit in terms of the number of members, the support they provide to new users, and the different way they have to encourage the promotion of good content, and good use of the platform. The most popular feature of @minnowsupport is the free upvote bot. Many people come and settle for just that vote, ignoring that with more dedication and effort they can gain a greater incentive that would far exceed the Bot's benefit, as are the weekly awards, the weekly resteem contests, and other activities they develop, which you can find out about in their channel of discord: https://discord.gg/HYj4yvw
Utopian-io

Utopian is a great project focused on the community of content developers, graphic designers, and open source software programmers. @utopian-io is currently one of Steemit's accounts with the highest voting value (I don't know if it is the first one) achieved through generous Steem Power delegations and the formation of a solid, high value and reputable project. Being such a relevant project, the rules are pretty strict. The truth is that the benefit of complying with the rules outweighs their rigour, which provides a great motivation to continue working on the project. You can learn more about utopian on their discord channel: https://discord.gg/h52nFrV
Steempress-io

Steempress is a project that links two major blog platforms, WordPress and Steemit. It is aimed at bloggers who want to grow their site by promoting it on Steemit. They do this through an ingenious WordPress plugin, which allows any entry to be published simultaneously in Steemit. This project has a considerable upvoting value, however, it is not guaranteed that you will receive a upvote for using this tool, when that happens it should be considered as an incentive for the promotion of good content. You can learn more about steempress on their discord channel: https://discord.gg/W2KyAbm
SteemRepo

@steemrepo is a relatively new and growing project. Its aim is to catalogue the best Steemit publications (those that deserve to be preserved), and to keep them on a server in an indexed and orderly way, so that users can have reference guides of quality publications, in addition to better preserving the valuable information or content of the selected publication. In addition to this, steemrepo rewards the selected publications with its vote, and as an additional incentive, @utopian-io has collaborated with @steemrepo and votes on the catalogued publications, which undoubtedly represents a great motivation for making publications worthy of being catalogued. You can learn more about steemrepo in their discord channel:
Curie

@curie is one of the largest content curation projects. They have the support of several whales which makes their vote very valuable, and makes it a great incentive to participate in the project. Being one of the most recognized projects, its voting is quite strict, and is reduced to very good quality publications and original content, without limitation of specific topics. You can learn more about Curie on their discord channel: https://discord.gg/jQtWbfj
O.C.D.

@ocd as well as @curie is a quality content curation project. Unlike the previous one, this one does not have an established community in discord, on the other hand it works in a simpler way. To participate in the healing of the @ocd project, all you need to do is create a high-quality publication and use the "ocd-resteem" label, so that curators can explore publications with this label and support the best ones. O.C.D. is a very active and efficient project. For more information you can consult their Steemit account.

Cervantes

@cervantes is the most relevant content curation project in the Spanish-speaking community. As with previous healing projects, there is no specific topic in this one, only creativity, quality, and originality (in addition to the active participation of users in the community) are required. In addition to traditional content curation, @cervantes implements "live curation" and other forms of encouragement for the Hispanic community, such as meetups, contests, and other activities that they develop on their discord channel: https://discord.gg/SnDH9Ku

Thanks to all the projects, Steemit remains a social platform of continuous activity, interaction and progress, leaving the interest in profit in the background. With the continuous improvement of the projects, Steemit grows progressively, giving an added value to the platform, and a good forecast for the future.
