SPOTLIGHT ON THE ARTIST Episode 43

Zig ( @onemedia ) and Denise ( AKA @d-vine ) opened the show after a ninteen minute delay due to technical difficulties, and to relieve the tension, jumped right into the music with 'DnB Free 2 b'. Then at 24:05 into the show, the two presented their most recent collaboration, 'Words Cannot Express', then spoke for quite a while about how the Drum-n-Bass style of electronic music has propagated across the Steemit landscape and also how well it combines with Jazz elements.

LFO-ONE ( @bushradio) then arrived to present his recent release called, 'TimeLoop', and described the seven year custody battle for his son, and how, although this tune has dark and heavy moments, his artistic process in creating these sorts of tracks act as a coping mechanism to help him through his struggle, and how it's that passion that brings life to the music. After hearing 'TimeLoop', he spoke in detail about his equipment he uses in this track, including the Deluge and the Deepmind 12, in this track and the Spectralis elsewhere, and his process of live recording after programming the synthesizer modules, all starting at 45:26 into the show.

APEX came back this week for the third time to Spotlight On The Artist to play a tune of his called, 'Riot' from an upcoming EP. He's planning his release through Glock Work Records. His interview started at 1:25:59 into the show.

Tenpoundsterling ( @tenpoundsterling ) came back to Spotlight On The Artist and brought the tune, Two Chair Manhattan and spoke of his passion for his art and the prospect of socioeconomic advancement through the adoption of Cryptocurrency. The audience noted how his musical breaks and drops are often unexpected and he mentioned how that exemplifies his creative principle of being 'Genre Defiant'. One example of this in the present tune was how orchestral sections are programmed along with hardstep bass drops bringing up the bottom. He also promoted a cryptocurrency coin just launching its Initial Coin Offering, Fantom, (price/volume/market capitalization) on a blockchain that includes a use case of Smart City databases, all starting at 1:33:58 into this show.
