3 weekly electronic music gems #1

in #music8 years ago (edited)

In this series I will weekly pick 3 gems out of the world of electronic music. Note that this is highly subjective. I hope to give all of you some insight into what electronic music has to offer, and inspire new music lovers.

#1 Ital Tek - Redeemer

From the ablum 'Hollowed' Released in 2016 on one of the leading labels Planet Mu. The album has been called the best of 2016 so far, and is the magnus opus of Ital Tek's work. The slow paced choir-like feel to this track really struck me.

#2 Shlohmo - Parties

From the album 'Bad Vibes' Released in 2011 on the label Friends of Friends. Bad Vibes was shlohmo's first studio album, and I have been a long time fan. The ending/climax on this track still brings tears to my eyes and shivers down my spine after 200+ listens.

#3 Andy stott - Numb

From the album 'Luxury Problems' released in 2012 on manchester based label Modern Love. After Andy Stott had made releases with a more housy/dubtechno feel, he came out with this dark and sometimes unpolished record. This track very minimalistic and trance-inducing.

In future parts of this series I will delve gradually deeper underground, follow me to stay updated.
