Let me start this by provoking you to do some thinking. What can reach heaven above and touch human spirit below? What tools have the capacity and capability to connect with and ignite human creativity and imagination? What wings are so gentle and yet so strong to cover, shield, protect, connect,comfort and have the power to soar above the storm.
Very few means reflect the unseen aspect of nature.Few media touch directly and influence the human soul. We do not have many tools capable of painting the celestial, creating an imagination of it as well as painting the terrestrial aspects of the world.
There are few forms that reach beyond the confines of socio-political and economic boundaries,linguistic and cultural barriers , and other man-made blockades.
So what is it that carries with it the effects to which angels, kings, nobles, middle class, and common people respond? What tools capture at once the magnitude of whole universe the experience of each individual,and defy the dichotomy between the two as if the world were a small unit-a tiny village?
What are the bells to which both the rich and the poor respond in total humility and fearfulness?
What medium has such a force to penetrate into the fabrics of human society, and with pleasure and pain combined,expose societal virtues, vices and vaudeville?
There are few tools that have the power to harness, to command, to control, to communicate, to discipline, and to direct the human nature, human experiences, human activities and human virtues and follies.
Very few elements are so perishable,yet so powerful,to draw tears from even the greatest, and to send them to their knees.There are very few tools that can and do change the world.If we can roll all these tools and elements into one thing, what form would it take?
Music- the ultrasound of life to which we naturally respond without demanding it.Music is a uniquely compelling language,powerful beyond the strength of the spoken words.
