Arena Rockers REO Speedwagon have had quite the history over the last 53 years. While the members have experienced a revolving door, their pop and hard rock sound have entertained millions over the years. "157 Riverside Avenue," off their first album, still gets me jumping out of my seat. They later became a favorite of radio-play in the 80's with hits such as "Keep On Loving You," "Take It On The Run" and "Can't Fight This Feeling." Their career was given another shot in the arm by the Broadway Play and movie starring Tom Cruise, "Rock Of Ages."

In 2009, they released a Christmas album entitled "Not So Silent Night...Christmas With REO Speedwagon." It was off this album that a particular song stood out for me and made it to my Christmas playlist. "Children Go Where I Send Thee," which was originally an African-American spiritual song, was given the rock and roll treatment without losing any of its original intent. The Biblical references still remain and the melody maintains its catchy feel. While there are a number of good songs on this album, this is the one that created a buzz for me.
