Years ago, companies like "Jamendo SA" created a new concept in which artristas could announce their work in a free way, without having to render accounts to representatives or producing houses that would stay with up to 80% of their profits, and would restrict the areas where this music could be heard.
Today with projects like this is to take a step forward to advance both technologically and in freedom ...
Looks great, I’m a jazz/progressive musician! This really raises my spirits especially after the hurricane down here in Florida. I help to promote Dweezil Zappa and The Others of Intention (spent an intimate week with them last July) and plan on getting a band together myself after I get back home to Colorado next month. Very exciting!
Being an artist... I think that its something great for me and my team to get to this platform given by the blockchain.. we should all take use of this platform .... and make it something worth remembered for.... I once again thank the blockchain... @abdullahkhattak

I have/We have (my brothers & I) have loads of tunes in the hip hop gene, but we also have much more music in a stand alone, above the norm, no bullshit reproduced ideas done a million times, a super gene.
We from the LeftHouse feel and know it is time for a true revolution in music! It is time to get back to making fresh original sweet tunes, and everyone should be again held accountable for their own originality! meaning. no one should be aloud to sound like anyone else. Let's go! Let's get after it. we have the tools and the talent! time to grow and be our own mans or womans.
That blah blah being said! to a check out of our tune WITCHES! we recently entered it into the #smlchallenge which stands for the Steemit Music league Challenge. we got a hot video for WITCHES as well there is a free downloadable WITCHES drum rack we are giving away. Check it all out here:

It's great to see labels like this starting up - I know how hard it is to get any sort of quality viewing on your music online these days. You say you are interested in all genres, although the examples above are hiphop based. Just wondering how 'alternative' you are looking to go with these genres?

A couple of friends and me want to work on some instrumental jazz tracks, this will definitely be shared through Steemit. It's nice to know that seeds have been planted for an actual Steem powered record label!

Wow .. even though I am a newcomer, but by looking at news and developments in Steemit makes me more confident with my provisions as a new user.
Currently I am still in the learning phase and know the working system in Steemit.
