My local music scene

Alot of the venues that hosted orignal music have came and went in the first state. Delaware, like many other states, has had its local music scene take a few brutal blows in the past decade. Playlist ready DJs have replaced the band. Wanksters who dont know how to behave fucked up the few spots that accepted hip hop by bringing guns etc. Hip hop has completely lost its way. I remember about 6 years ago a local "rapper" had a half decent local venue give him a monthly. Know what he did? Turned around and sold slots and tickets. Now im sure im gonna have people saying "thats a good hustle" and indeed it is. But if you are a true hip hop head your gonna know where im going with this.everyone and their brother performed. the worst rappers our state had to offer would throw up their downpayment and rap over as many vocal tracks as they could fit into their bought slot. This is one reason i will NEVER pay to play. Keeping hip hop alive...one earned gig at a time hahaha. #beinfluential 1
