This new series – “Music to Your Ears” – will introduce all sorts of excellent music. It will feature music that is …
    ... not mainstream,
    ... not commonly known, and
    ... not often heard.  

Music to be Presented to Your Ears

If the artist and the music push the boundaries of the genre, and if the music is definitely worth a listen, you will learn about it here. You will hear music by such artists as Dengue Fever, Little Simz, Comboy Junkies, Orquesta Akokán, and Esperanza Spalding.    

Also, you will probably hear Leonard Cohen (because everybody deserves to hear his warm and evocative poetry) and you will likely hear Miley Cyrus (because she’s a finer and more accomplished musician than most people realize.)      (Image source)

Music to be Avoided 

If the music is immensely popular, if it’s an international smash hit, if it won a Grammy award, and if it’s so well-known that you might hear it while sitting in a trendy café in Perth, Penang, or Pondicherry, it will probably NOT be included here.

So, you will not hear Michael Jackson, The Eagles, Maren Morris, Bruno Mars, Beyonkey, or Justin Beiber.  That’s a promise.       (Image source)
