Hail Steemians!
I know it has been overhyped and I am not going to write much about the show itself, although my wife @patschwork and I enjoy it very much. We even have been to Dubrovnik aka Kings Landing during Season 2, before the whole hype started... However, the opening theme of the show is a great piece of music and I have decided to do a small reminiscence, also with the intention to try out some mixing and mastering techniques and also a bit of video editing. I guess the result is quite ok, but see for yourself ;)

Ich weiß, die Serie ist "überhyped" und ich werde nicht viel über die Show selbst schreiben, obwohl meine Frau @patschwork und ich uns schon als Fans bezeichnen würden. Wir waren sogar während der zweiten Staffel in Dubrovnik alias Kings Landing, noch bevor der ganze Hype begann ... Allerdings ist das Eröffnungsthema der Serie ein großartiges Musikstück, und ich habe mich entschlossen, eine kleine Hommage zu machen, auch mit der Absicht, um ein paar Mix- und Masteringtechniken sowie ein wenig Videobearbeitung auszuprobieren. Ich denke, das Ergebnis ist ganz in Ordnung, aber schaut selbst ;)

Ist dir wirklich außerordentlich gut gelungen :) Ich finde es cool wie du dich selbst wieder eingespielt hast. Spielst du professionel Gitarre?

Hi @mcnestler, vielen Dank! Es gibt natürlich unzählige Covers von diesem Stück - aber ist ja auch ein tolles Thema. Professionell Gitarre im Sinne, dass ich davon leben kann, spiele ich leider nicht... vielleicht wirds ja irgendwann noch was ;) ich veröffentliche jedenfalls regelmäßig Alben, kannst ja mal auf Spotify reinhören:

That is one hell of a rendition you shared there. I would love to listen to it over and over again. Your performance is good and has a calming effect for everyone who loves to listen to music. Maybe the song is just too magnificent for me because of the show and I know that Ramin Djawadi is the composer who also made songs for some movies and tv shows that I also love. There is just something unique with the song and if I get to listen to it randomly, it reminds me of the show and I would even stop for a while if I am doing something just to listen to it.
It is just sad that the show will come to end but everyone who loves its musical score and its story as well will really love a mark to our hearts. Hope you can have some other rendition as well. Cheers!
Thanks so much @edencourage. The music score by Ramin Djawadi is indeed awesome. I really enjoyed GoT but I think it is time that it comes to an end. But other hopefully great fantasy TV shows like The Wheel of Time and Lord of the Rings are coming! :)

Cool - Das Lied von Eis und Feuer... Ich habe vor Jaaaahren mit den Büchern angefangen, aber damals musste man auf den nächsten Band warten und so ist es mir aus den Augen gekommen.... ;-) Super umgesetzt - wirklich schön auch mit den Einspielungen der beiden anderen "Stimmen". Lieben Gruß Kadna

Wooaw, you really made my day with your cover. I salute this theme whenever I hear it any where. The theme has some unique features that make one feel for it at the first time you listen.
I really enjoyed your video over and over again. I couldn't resist but watch is over and over again. Great piece and keep the music spirit up
