We’ve changed our minds and are instead learning this classic track by Canadian band, Nickelback - Rockstar!
I’ve managed to nail the piano chords in one sitting this evening, the groove and everything. However it was mainly to practice the chord changes and to play it pretty confidently ready for a rehearsal tomorrow (all being well). It will be the first time my colleagues have heard me play and I think a great ice breaker for people. I think one or two colleagues have had one session but I missed it along with a couple of others.
Whilst practicing I did some background recording in Ableton and at some point will share the audio with you as I jam at home.
Hopefully this will all be good fun. It’s a great song. Maybe it will be recorded by someone on the day.
With a new band it can be best to start with something simple. It should be fun getting it all together. Enjoy!
