A new direction

in #musiclast year (edited)

It's now time to level on the music... the video was created by us and it was from pre recorded footage, taken specifically for that track. Automotive to Music Production...really?

A few months ago we were asked by one our very good friends that we've known for around 28 years to have a look at music video filmed in Carriacou starring Ron and produced by said friend.

Now some context, whenever anything cool came up we could work on , said friend would reach out and we'd see what we could create, our last escapade was chartering yachts on Male, The Maldives, it came to nothing but it was great fun.

Therefore we were eager to see and hear the production, the tune was awesome - the video needed work, now the track wasn't synced with the artist, meaning sync was done by eye also it wasn't filmed at the same time either. We love a challenge -

The editor used Premiere like us however he'd been using it a few years, whereas we learnt it, rather I Ben learnt it at Teesside Uni in around 2000, not quite a veteran but proficient :)

To cut a long story short we got the editing task.

Here's the follow up, we edited this in a crazy way and the footage was filmed in London city, quite apt as it's the Kings Coronation this weekend, King Charles.

Now we needed a name

92 Crew was created - the culmination of editors, artists and producers supporting talent in Grenada and the surrounding islands, and that's just the tip...

What a change, Universal Law teaches us that we attract opportunities when it's the right time, therefore we now have Planetauto and 92 Crew video production, who would have thought that?

Now, what do you think of this track and our unorthodox editing? Thank you for reading

Hope the new music venture goes very well for you👍

Thank you, it'll be interesting to see where it leads

Cool stuff. Lots of familiar sights there, especially as I used to work near Wembley. In fact you feature my old office a few times. I was up near the top for a few years.

I have a lot to learn about video editing. I tend to use Linux which has some video options I am exploring.

Have fun.

Thank you, it's a small world - our friend lives in Sudbury just about to be ULEZ'd eek, it's quite different moving from automotive to music, ironically though my brother produces music too. I use Windows, built machines etc, but never used Linux, a few pals over the years have utilised dual boot. If you ever do dabble in Premiere, happy to share some tips :)

I did the commute to Wembley from Bedfordshire for years, but had enough of it. Much happier now I do 10 mins on the train.

I'll explore the tools I have as I am sure they can do a lot. Music is my focus, but video is a good way to get it out there.

Wow Annabelle did the odd commute from Kendal to London Business School, DUKE etc eats a bit of time up, far easier remotely now.

Video is a great way, but the music has more potential for reach.

I love this, the video and the music, the editing is brilliantly creative

Thank you, this is the 2nd time Dave's filmed too, i told him get creative - cement trucks, walkways etc. He must have looked crazy filming the traffic light, it gave Annabelle and I a lot to edit with.

Lol I was wondering that, people driving by thinking what on earth is that guy doing?

Heavy night :)
