Hallo steemian friends, tonigh i will share post about aceh culture. Marriage customary ritual in Aceh, especially at the "Intat Linto" or better known to bring the groom is seumapa. Seen from the words Seumapa, it is certain that these words come from the understanding of "greetings".
Therefore, seumapa as one of the events, at Intat Linto traditional ceremony, is greeting each other, and exchanging information, between the two parties.
According to one indigenous elder, both parties were involved in the activity, namely Linto Baro or a group of brides, and the Dara Baro or the bride's entourage.
Equipped with Ureung Preh Linto Baro, is the person who waits for the groom. Furthermore, the chairman of each entourage, will say each other greeting in the verses pantun with language beautiful and polite. The event took place in front of Dara Baro's house or bride's party.
It is an Acehnese habit that when it comes to a house or somewhere, it is always full of courtesy and glorifies the local community. Similarly vice versa as a person who has a place, will welcome when visited and visited by guests, as long as the guests come with full courtesy as well.
Currently Seumapa event at Intat Linto or Preh Linto ceremony has been very rare. This is because the present generation is not paying much attention to the customs and cultural heritage of the ancestors. Besides, the cadres who are able in the art of Seumapa are very rare. Indeed, in some areas still found one or two people who are capable and quite shrewd in Seumapa, but on average they are old enough. Never born again Seumapa cadres of the younger generation.
