Music And Mindset

in #music5 years ago

Music industry is one of the booming industries with various people rushing into it. Songs pumping in from artists all with their uniqueness and Youths confidently see music as a form of entertainment and a channel of being lost out of frustration and anxiety of life but they are blinded to the transformation it's activating deep into their system of thoughts. We are what we hear and what we see. Gradually they change our mode of reasoning and we become like them unconsciously.

Every musician sings from his own mindset (what he thinks is true, false , or a fact) and we the poor listener with no review we accept and incorporate their mindset into our life by listening to their songs daily. If we listen to a musician's songs who believe sin is right , then gradually we start believing what he believe. If we listen to a musician's song who thinks divorce is the way out , we start nurturing the idea of divorce. Unknowingly the kind of music we listen to shape us.

Most times we notice ourselves developing habits that are strange to us and we wonder how it came about not knowing we are product of what we hear. Music though very good but if not monitor can ruin a man's thought .

It's proper that we listen to the kind of music we believe can edify the kind of man we want to become. The kind of music that makes us a better person, as such doing we grow gradually into men that can make impact to humanity.

Every music comes with a mindset and usually the mindset of the singer, the more we engage into it, the more we are like them in our thoughts and activities. Musicians don't only have people who look to them as model but people who are like them. Imagine, listening to Rihanna with the song "irreplaceable" , she believe she can do without a man. This same idea goes into her fan and they also believe they can do without a man, indirectly initiating lesbianism. Another of her song "If I was a man" she sold out her idea as a man and this idea are bought by her fans. Other musicians with various ideologies about life sell it out in their music and as a fan, it form a new mindset in us.

Dressing also by artists are mindset sold out to us and this again we try to copy. The only way we can be better people is when we start listening to songs that edifies, watch people that make us want to make impact to humanity. You can never be like Chris brown if you only watch songs of lil Wayne. So make mentor from Who you want to be like. Listen to song of the person you want his mindset to be your makeup.

Music comes with the musician's mindset, so beware of what you hear.

I have a wide variety of music I listen to, but I try to stay away from anything with lyrics that I find destructive to my mindset, particularly songs about self hatred. A few angry songs once in a while are ok, but I won't let myself listen too much.

I wrote that after realizing how bad music has influence youth.I actually cross post it. The link I shared was copied from esteem app instead of peakd.
