Hivers, we did it! Months of preparation, planning, re-planning, planning again. At the end of last year we set out with a vision, to create an artist collective with the goal of promoting a European Cultural Identity. We would do workshops for children, improvisational sessions with musicians AND play showcases all over the continent. Launching such a project in the midst of a pandemic was proving to be extremely difficult. Every time we thought we had a chance to do a cool event, the landscape would change and thus so would our plans!
But then like a small miracle, the game began to change. Within the past weeks we have been able to organize and meet together and finally we were able to put our long anticipated ideas to the test. It began with a workshop in a Kindergarten in Berlin. We wrote some songs with subtle messages of Cultural Unity and brought them to the kids, where we taught them how to sing and play with us. By the end, they were jumping and dancing with us and singing the chorus, it was remarkable!
After what was an uplifting and powerful experience with the future, we brought our equipment to the Rummelsburgersee and built up a stage on a pontoon. The legendary company Teufel gave us a sponsorship (https://teufel.de/) of two of their large Teufel ROCKSTER speakers, and running completely on battery powered generators, we had a small floating pontoon stage with quite some power! We took the stage over to the Insel der Jugend (island of youth) in Berlin's legendary Treptower park and let the people sit in the Inselgarten and drink bier and enjoy a free concert. Before we knew it it was completely full, with a line extending all the way to the bridge in order for more people to get in!!! Needless to say this was a remarkable moment for all of the musicians and something we had been waiting nearly half a year to be able to do again.

Also - the VLOG is coming back as the summer gets into full swing, so I anticipate a lot of great new content to be here for you Hivers.
