Of course I did.... it's the perfect question that combines theology, religion, belief all in the modern day world. It might just be the most important philosophical question we have.

Although I'm getting pretty annoyed by all the religious-biased questions here (so it's great to see other people who don't want to use fictional holy books as sources), it's important to keep in mind that most historians who have studied the time around year 0 agree that Jesus was a real person! He's obviously still not able to perform magic tricks and rise from the dead though.

The problem with Jesus is that even if Yeshua bin Betlehem the person existed, teaching around 40CE, he would be a completely different person to the Church figure. Jesus is a character in a book.

That's true. And I agree with that. I just didn't know if you knew that the historical Jesus was real or not, so I wanted to point it out :)
