You’re disregarding the fact that a child doesn’t have the maturity to make adult decisions in comparison to an adult who can be assumed to have the maturity to make rational decisions.

If a 10-yo hardly knows why their penis get erected, many 18-yo males might not know why either. Then, what gives all 18-yo males the right to consent to sex while the 10-yo males are completely deprived of it?

If a 10-yo male had sex with a woman but proved his ability to consent and good knowledge about sex, why should the sexual act be criminalized?
