"CoinGecko is a cryptocurrency ranking chart app and website that ranks digital currencies by developer activity, community, and liquidity. "

If you are familiar with CoinMarketCap, another cryptocurrency ranking chart popular for ranking cryptos based on their market capitalzation, well CoinGecko is kind of like that but has an added filter and sorting for developer activity, community and liquidity.

Developer Community - For big time potential investors, one thing to look at is how active the development team of the cryptocurrency is. CoinGecko displays how many forks, issues, pull requests, etc have been done. Making it easier for potential investors to see how commited and reliable the development team is.

Community - It goes without saying that the more people holding and talking about the coin the more it will be worth. If a crypto have a decent amount of community support then investors are likely to invest on that coin.

Liquidity - CoinGecko tracks all coins available on exchanges and sums it all up. The more liquid coins is on the market ready to be traded and exchanged, the more the cryptocoin is considered growing.

Coingecko is a cryptocurrency ranking site. The default site settings rank cryptocurrencies based on their market capitalisation. However, you can select other criteria's by using the filter option.

You can select the All hashing algorithm to display certain cryptocurrencies based on different algorithms such as Proof of stake, Delegated proof of stake and so on.

You can also filter tokens according to the coin platform they leverage on. Platforms such as Ethereum, Waves can be selected and their respective tokens can be seen. The website can be visited at coingecko.com

Coingecko is a cryptocurrency website platform that shows cryptocurrencies information and rankings by value, charting, market capitalization, and liquidity of the tokens.

It is the same as coinmarketcap that lists all of the cryptocurrencies created. With coingecko, a user can check on his preferred :

- Coin prices , the current price of the coin (in USD, YEN, EURO, PHP, or currency in your country).

- Chart / Graph / History , it provides a thorough history of the prizes along the days, weeks, months and year. A thing needed for price analysis.

- Percent Change (%), provides you the changes of price a specific coin has. A "green" indicates increase in value and "red" indicates decrease in value.

- USD/BTC pairing, provides you the current demand/supply price of the coin in BTC (Satoshi) or USD.

- Market Capitalization, provides you the current Market Capitalization of the Coin.

- Liquidity, Developer, and Community.

- Ranking, they provide you ranking of the token performances.

Here's a quick view of the site.

Leave the country and don't take sides unless you want to lose one side or even possibly both.

Families fighting is an absolute nightmare for the family member(s) who isn't part of the disagreement.

At some point, one side or maybe both sides will drag you into the disagreement to get you to side with them and this is when the problems start. Side A will accuse you of helping side B, Side B will accuse you of being disloyal, hence you fall out with everyone over an argument which has nothing to do with you and you were not involved in.

I seriously feel for your predicament as many families seem to have this problem. I know mine has been a nightmare in the past. It got to the point where I don't really want to know any of them. Throw money and wills into the equation and the problem multiplies infinitely.

My answer is to never forget to send cards at Christmas and Birthdays. Call everyone once a week and stay as far away from them as possible.

My original advice was leave the country, I am English. I live in Thailand. 'Nuff said.

Hope it all calms down and you get out of the line of fire, its an awful position to be in, so my best wishes to you :-)

Are "comments" included on the Reverse Auction Voting Penalty?

Before HF20, all upvotes before 30mins goes directly to the author of the post(linearly).

If one voted at the 0th minute, all curation rewards goes to the author.

If that same account upvotes at exactly 15mins, 50% of that accounts curation rewards goes to the author and 50% goes back to the upvotee.

If that same account upvotes after 30mins, all curation rewards he will get from the post goes to him.

Now with Hard Fork 20 this have been changed. Instead of going to the author, it goes to the reward pool.

Question is: does this apply to "comments" too?

Yes they are. It is calculated the same way as a post these days. I found out the hard way and realised soon enough that it is wise to wait the 15 minute period before upvotting a comment.

Not everyone has realised this and have done a post the other day highlighting our bad habits and ignorance towards this. If you vote immediately after receiving a comment you have basically just thrown your vote away handing a majority of the curation to Steemit.

What does a good Sunday morning breakfast include for you?

Time for a cosy breakfast. What has to be part of it?

A full Irish which is 3 sausages , 2 rashers . A black and white pudding, a poached egg, mushrooms , beans , waffles toast and coffee. You will not need a lunch !!

Eggs, bacon, sausage links, sourdough toast - heavy on the butter.

And a nice cup of hot tea.

Pretty much my standard weekend breakfast.

I always have few different cereals mixed together, with hot milk. So Sunday morning breakfast is no different as any other :) But in sundays (in afternoon) I like to make myself a milkshake with lot of different fruits, honey, and little bit of cinnamon

Egg and bacon! That's a great way to start the Sunday.

I have never been a breakfast sort of person and my normal day would just be a cup of coffee.

Sundays however we normally have a special mid morning breakfast which would include coffee and fruit juice. Eggs ,bacon and sausages with toast is our normal Sunday breakfast catching up with the family. It is one of the only meals of the week that we are all together these days as our lives are so busy doing other things.

Family time is important and should make the effort at least once or twice per week. We are not getting any younger and having family in the same town let alone the same country is rare these days.

There are plenty of things we do in morning including breakfast as I am not able to get time in morning for breakfast many time as I am a lazy persons and cannot able to get up on time and I get late for my college and I miss some days my morning breakfast. Some day if I got up early and then I prefer to have a light breakfast in the morning due to sleep. I often eat some pasta, Maggie, Bread jam or some fruit dish. I prefer to eat this dish at morning between 9-10.

The breakfast I eat is less in weight because there are plenty of reasons behind it, One is sleep. As we prefer light weight breakfast we get our day a boost and we may work some more time because heavy food may get us to sleepy whole day. It from our precious time we lost out one day because of some food.

Some day when I am traveling somewhere early morning then i eat some fast food as my mother is not able to wake up early morning and cook for me so i usually prefer some dish like Samosa, Vadapav, Dabeli as my morning breakfast.

My best trade was UKG (Unikoingold). It was having a very low satoshi price. I bought a lot of it then few days later it pumped! It went nuts (500% in increase) and I got a profit of around $2000 that time.

My worst trade was SRN (Sirin Lab Tokens). It was having a momentum before, being the first cryptocurrency to produce Smart Phones, Laptops, and tablets having Blockchain technology their protocol. It was getting listed on Bittrex (and endorsed by Lionel Messi), so I immediately bought worth $5000. I went all in seeing my fundamental and technical analysis on it.

But it went down. It went down to 30% of my investment and I lost around $3500. Crypto is very unpredictable.

Funny enough bitcoin for both

Best

Bought at $125, sold at $1,000

Nice 800% profit

Worst

Bitcoin

Bought at $125, sold at $1,000

Only 800% profit vs 8000% or more I could have gotten

Starting selling majority of my holdings around the 1K mark, sold up until about $1300 when I decided to keep the rest and see if anything comes of it.

Can't complain really, those sales did pay off my mortgage and buy a new car but man if I would have held for another 14-16 months. Oh well

Looks like HODLing is the key to tens of Xs and that requires a lot of patience. I'm curious how much patience will I have with my crypto holdings when another wave comes.

Yep and that is a very difficult thing to do year after year lol
I held for many years, and finally said 8X my investment is not bad for something I considered a gamble when I started it
Plus, I really needed a new car
LOL
Still have a couple kicking around, but this time it needs to break $100K or they are going to the grandkids lol

hahaha. There are a few that were bad.

I purchased Verge and it has lost about 1000%. i haven't sold them as the price will com back at some point so not a total disaster.

The pluses are I purchased Cardano at 0.09 c and and EOS at $2.60 a while ago. The only thing is my account was hacked so they have all gone. I will get back into it eventually but I suppose the best thin that ever happened was the hacking as I found Steem straight afterwards and have been here ever since.

Right now my worst trade so far is Bitcoin. I purchased it when it was around 14k and it hasn't been anywhere close to that since.

I also purchased a decent amount of EOS when it was around $8 and it has been hanging out around $5 for quite a while now.

I don't really count my Litecoin investments because those have just been great even when the price is down.

I’ve the worst one by a mile. In november I got into exchanges so I bought 5000 kucoin at 45 cent. I held for two weeks until I heard a rumour that COSS exchange was the better bet. I sold for at a profit 60 cent and bought into COSS at 1 Euro. A couple of days later Kucoin exploded . I bought and sold too early. It went to 16 Euro at one stage . That would of been the mortgage paid! COSS increased to 3 Euro but I still held and now it’s 5 cent a coin. What potentially was 70k is now around 600 quid. You win some you lose some.

Oh and my best trade was buying a bag load of iota and verge last October . It cancelled out my worst trade but I still hold .

There were quite a few by the way.

To name the top most trade that I did was of SBD when it was around USD 14 and I was able to get quite some profit from them. and those were the first most profits that I was able to get in my cypto trade ever. There were others with  profits but this was the most memorable one.

While I remember the one coin named Copytrack this was the worst I bought it at probable 100 Bucks and I sold it maybe at 10 USD at the end. It was the worst one til the date of today that I had.

But yeah ups and downs are there in our life. We learn from them and use those knowledge to avoid mistakes in our future.

Hahahahahhaahahaha....... I would put on some gibberish styles. First of all I'm going to wear my bra and make sure it capture only one side of my breast. I will put on a round neck then fix a tie to my neck. I have one old skirt just on my knee level.I will wear that and put on my socks. On the left leg there will be a bathroom slippers while a covered shoe will go with the right leg. That will make me walk like a wounded cat. I will put on some funny make ups that will make me look like a local champion. Finally I will carry a big nylon bag and hang it on my shoulder. I'm good to go.... LWKMD..

This reminds me of rag day back in the universities. In Nigeria there is a day known as rag day for new intakes where they dress up in rags (funny wears) and walk round the town begging for money for orphanage.

If I wanna get the most laughs with an outfit from my clothes then what I'll do is this, I'll put on my black leggings and tear just one side of my buttocks making it visible then put on a red gstrings pant the wrong way with the front at the back. I'll fold one leg of the leggings and let the other down then put on long white socks and a school sandals. On top, I'll put on a sweater and wear my red bra on it and then tie one end of the sweater so it doesn't cover my butts. Then I'll bring out my Brazilian hair wig and help my head look trendy and of cos beautiful make up to go.

More like she looks so beautifully facially but dressed like a mad woman. Lol.

Yes, according to many leading news papers and reports its said that Steve job left million of dollars for her daughter  Lisa Brennan-Jobs.  According to website wikiclebinfo. com - The present net worth of Lisa Brennan Jobs is estimated to be over $10 billion. So, we can conclude that Yes Steve Job left billions of dollars for his daughter Lisa Brennan-Jobs.

Jobs really became more generous when his daughter grew up. He then bought Lisa a house for $ 400 thousand and two cars. But that is nothing compared to what Jobs gave his wife Laurenne Powell and their three children. Almost all of Jobs's assets were inherited to Laurene who is now one of the richest people in the world with an estimated asset of USD 16.8 billion.

Her daughter Lisa received an unspecified inheritance, but still far less than what Laurenne received. Lisa, who had not recognized Jobs as his son, said his father was very stingy about him. Shortly after being recognized as his daughter, Jobs only gave a monthly fee of USD 500.

Steve Jobs is famous and wealthy, but many consider him stingy. Rarely is it heard that it contributes to humanity. Likewise what his biological child told him,

DISTANCE...! That was the issue that tore my 7 years relationship apart. I was staying in the same city with my girl before I was transfered by my company to the head office ,(9hours journey by Bus). She also got admission into tertiary institution and since then,we occasionally meet. I made sure I call her always, I send her money and made sure she didn't lack anything. I also visit her anytime I'm less busy at work but all these worked only for some time.

I began to notice changes in her. She was caring and loving but her sudden changes gave me huge concern. I asked her what was going on but she kept saying nothing. She knew the kind of person I am. I don't take things too seriously especially when I know that force won't work wonders. I kept enduring her attitude. She picks my calls when she likes. I didn't still pick quarrel with her because I already knew what could be fishing. I patiently dealt with her until she open up one day. She called me and said she was sorry.

"Please ckole, I can't pretend anymore. I'm hurting you so much and I won't like to continue this way. The reason I've been acting strange is because I'm already dating another person. I want someone close to me. I don't like the distance and I can't cope any more. I'm sorry".

I tried to convince her but all to no avail. I loved her so much. I felt empty when she left me. She told me I'm not always there when she needs my presence. Though I call daily and cater for her needs, she cherish the physical union. Talking on air isn't enough. She wanted to be true but she couldn't hold on. She's a reserved young lady. I couldn't blame her, I just learnt a lesson.

My next relationship didn't suffer just 2 kilometers distance. I never gave it a chance and it worked out fine.

Distance in a relationship is not what should be encouraged. Companionship really matters. The more you get together, the more you build the relationship. There are temptations every where. our spouse goes through series of it from attractors. We are not the only one that wants them, there are others out there that cherish them just as we do. Keeping away too far can cause the unexpected to happen.

Even a lot of Marriages has broken just because of this eight letter words "DISTANCE". Everyone has his or her manner of approaching things but all the same, If distance can be avoided, its better to stay clear of it and enjoy life with your partner.

Thanks.

A total lack of Communication and respect.

Always communicate. Communication is one of the most important things in any relation, especially between lovers. Communication is the thing that takes away doubts, incertainties, grieves and annoyances. Communication is also the thing that tells the other you love your partner, that you care about your partner and that you want to be with your partner.

Communication and respect need to go hand in hand. Otherwise, communication can become a weapon.

So respect is the other part of the foundation to build a relationship upon.Always respect your partner, always treat your partner with the utmost respect. A relationship where one of both partners doesn't feel respected, is bound to fail.

Respect means, treating your partner with respect. Respect in a relationship means, also treat yourself with respect, and make sure your partner treats you with respect. A relationship where you respect your partner, but your partner totally disrespects you is an unhealthy relationship.

In my previous relationship, I was totally disrespected, in many ways (the woman still disrespects me). And, there was no way of communicating on a normal level, so at one point in time, I had to stand up and demand respect for myself. That's when the relationship ended, on the first occurence of me not blindly following and pleasing her demands.

Infidelity. I was with a man who looks at everything on skirt. At first when we met he was charming and adorable and he made me laugh so much I fell in love with him. Through the years while we were together I discovered he was in the habit of cheating and lying. Once I saw different pictures of naked women on his phone, other times his conversations with them. He was such a good liar but not good at covering his tracts.

I knew he was cheating but I never got the strength to leave him. I loved him so much. I felt I have invested time, money and energy and shouldn't let another woman come in and reap where she didn't sow. I saw myself as the rightful owner of the vineyard even though it was producing unhealthy fruits and soured juice, I believed he would change, of cos he kept promising to change. Once he got a lady pregnant and promised to fix it by getting her to terminate it.

Although I never supported that but I felt maybe this time he would change for real not until another pregnant woman came to fight me in his house. At this time I knew that I was never gonna have peace of mind if I eventually marry him and i was going to because he had proposed some weeks back so it was a shock finding out he is still cheating even with marriage plans on the way.

I had to take the easy way out which was a break up and turns deaf ear to all his please. Infidelity is bad and it destroys relationships. Do not look at how much time or money or effort you have put in, if a man or woman cares enough to cheat on you, they will never respect you. Besides walk away and save yourself before you get infected by the serial cheat. It's heart breaking and hurts real bad but your mental and physical health is worth more than one person who can't control his or her libido.

PUBG aka  Player Unknowns Battle Grounds  is a  Battle Royale  game. The way it works is that there are 100 people playing free for all. You have a minute before the game to adjust your tactic. Then you get picked up by a plane and you get to decide where on the map you want to land.

Landing on the ground you have literally nothing. Weapons, shields, med kits and everything else can be found on the ground and in nearby houses. The next couple of minutes players loot the houses and try to find the best possible gear while killing enemies and trying not to die.

The best thing you can do is to land on a car and use it to travel to other locations faster. It's much more efficient to loot  with a car, as it's faster than walking.

After 2 minutes the storm starts creeping in. There will be a safe zone on the map and if you don't get inside on time, you will slowly but surely start losing HP until you die.

The zone starts shrinking a little bit again after a couple of minutes and this process repeats  until there is no place on the map that is safe, or until there is only one player left.

Last man standing wins!

It is a game called Player Unknowns Battle Grounds. It is a game that has taken the concept of Battle Royale (or H1Z1: King of the Kill, or The Hunger Games) . A number of people are released onto an island and basically last man standing wins. A simple concept where you have to find weapons and kill people.

Every game has about 100 people fighting against each other so it is a serious game and there is danger at every turn. There seems to be two different tactics being played out. Go and kill as many as you can in mad dashes or hide away until there are less players to fight.

Hiding seems to be the smartest tactic at the moment but is still tricky trying to get to the safe zone. The game hasn't been released yet but is expected within the next month. There is a test version which everyone is currently using but is expected to be a big hit when it finally arrives.

Well aside from low-level accounts (Accounts with less than 50SP) somewhat being limited and being restricted on what they can do to the blockchain, one negative (and a major issue for me) that I see is how some business operating on Steem are affected greatly by this RC's.

I took a quick look at the account @blocktrades to which I have been using for months now to convert some of my liquid Steem/SBD to BTC to fiat and their Resource Credit is only at 6.27%

That is an account with almost 2 Million SP!!! I know how busy that acccount is on transfer transactions but I didn't know it would go below 10% days after HF20 was implemented. Now imagine other businesses operating on the platform with only hundred thousand SP's.

So yeah businesses operating on Steem is very much affected by this RC as far as what I can see.

Actually I don't see many negatives. Initially I was worried what the resource credits would do and limit the smaller accounts to virtually no actions. Since the patch was put in place after the Hardfork it seems to have settled down.

Spamming accounts have disappeared for the most part but I think there will be some tweaking still to come. Whatever was negative has turned to positive after the fiasco. There seem to be more communication and a better understanding of what went wrong and how to fix it in the future.

There will most likely be another hardfork before March and i think we are all better prepared now.

What categories or topics do you want to see in a website/blog having a finance niche?

I am running a website at the moment which is integrated with Steempress and I would just like to ask for a suggestion on what topics/categories most people want to learn when it comes to finance.

How does social media contribute to the quarter-life crisis most millennials are facing right now ?

I have made a post about a quarter-life crisis or a phase wherein a millennial encounters insecurities, doubts, disappointments, and frustrations are arising due to the ideals of today’s career, relationships, and financial status.

I have given the ways on how to conquer quarter-life crisis.

Full post can be read here:

https://pinayteenvestor.com/2018/07/19/overcome-quarter-life-crisis-2/

However, I would just like to know the root cause of why millennials encounter a quarter-life crisis. What do you think are few of the reasons why?

Social media makes it so much easier to compare yourself with others. When you see what kind of pathetic life you are leading, compared to those around you, you would feel down too 😭

If Blood Is Red, Why Are Veins Blue?

why is that our veins blue when the blood in it is red?

Because when you look at a vein you are seeing the blood being diffused by the skin. This is why after having blood drawn or tapping a vein it will change from blue to a dark purple in colour. The vein has become more prominent or engorged and so the amount of red blood is greater and shows through the skin more.

Based on your race and ethnicity your veins might not be blue to begin with, they can appear darker in colour.

Ok well there are actually a lot of reasons that have been though up to answer this question, but I've been able to discern which is right and which is wrong.

The reason why veins look blue even though blood is red is simply because of the difference in how the skin let's light pass through it. To actually see an object, light has to fall on it so that your eyes can actually general an image in your retina.

Now in the case of light causing veins to look blue. Firstly, for an image to form in our eyes, or for us to see, light has to be reflected back from that image into our eyes and depending on the wavelength of the light and material thats reflecting it, we perceive different colours. As far as skin goes, it mostly doesn't let much light pass through it, especially blue light and thus reflects almost all light, and that's why people's skin are white (depending on how much melanin they have). Blood on the other hand absorbs almost all light but reflects red light and that's why blood is red.

Veins however are located just under the skin, and at about 0.5mm under the skin, it's mostly red light and blue light that's reflected. Seeing as blue light doesn't pass through skin well, it's reflected. Thus, when you see veins and they appear blue, you'll know it's because vessels under the skin at about 0.5mm of depth don't absorb blue light well, instead they reflect them and it's that reflected light that your eyes pick up and tell your brain that veins are blue.

I hope this helps

Why is it that Bitcoins' dominance is greater than 50% of the overall cyrptocurrency market?

Bitcoin has more than 50% market dominance in cryptocurrency, why is it so?

Bitcoin was the first ever crypto and as they say in business first to market is a huge advantage. It has been a consistent performer year over year (except this year of course) and is what most people believe crypto is all about

It is also the most widely accepted coin and has had major businesses such as Dell, Microsoft, Steam, etc all accept it at one point or another. That is a huge reason right there it dominates the market. People believe it has value for more than just drugs if places like Microsoft will accept it.

The value is another reason. People perceive value based on price of something, with bitcoin being so high vs others it MUST be the right coin to get into.

Bitcoin is the first coin that started crypto currencies. It has always been the coin you purchased to come into crypto and then traded for something else on the exchanges. You couldn't invest money and then trade for the coins. You had to purchase Bitcoin for any transactions to happen. The same is when you sell any of your alts you have to sell them to Bitcoin or Etherium to move out of the exchange.

Bitcoin is down from $22 500 in January to around $6500 currently and is expected to turn and reverse the downward trend. The smart move is to have Bitcoin right now as that is always the first coin to climb. Others follow and copy what it does.

If you are holding bitcoin and it starts an upward movement you can gain an immediate 15 to 20 percent by holding this coin. There is expected to be a lot of interest this time from larger corporations and finance institutions who are waiting to invest. Once the coin starts to climb it is hard to catch it up so it will be interesting to watch.

Simply because it has demand on it. Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency, lots of cryptos are being traded through Bitcoin, thus there is a high demand on it and for a good amount of time it has an over 50% dominance. It's also because during bear markets Bitcoin usually holds better its price than altcoins. However, when altcoins start to rally again big amounts of money are "thrown" into such cryptos and Bitcoin loses its dominance. I think that this might be the last year in which Bitcoin will have that much of a dominance. In the next three years I think other crypto projects with much more use cases than Bitcoin will take away its huge dominance.

Short Answer would be to avoid any data file corruption.

The moment you insert say a USB stick into a computer, there are processes happening in the background. Processes like Initializing the USB stick, getting ready for the data in that device to be read and one process feature we call "write caching".

"Write caching is a feature that improves system performance by using fast volatile memory (RAM) to collect write commands sent to data storage devices and cache them until the slower storage device (ex: hard disk) can be written to later. "

Source: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/21904-enable-disable-disk-write-caching-windows-10-a.html

The problem with this feature is that since it uses the RAM to cache the data from the storage device, the moment it is interrupted during the time you are copying some file (whether by a power or system failure), the data stored in the RAM 'maybe' flushed out causing some potential data loss. The greater the data loss the higher the chance the system won't be able to fix/repair it making it totally unreadable.

The simple act of pressing that "eject button" tells your OS to flush those cache while making sure that all processes and pending actions have been already performed. Thus the possibility of data corruption is at most 0%.

If your computer says that you should properly eject the flashdrive then I assure you, it's most definitely for good reason.

The whole idea behind telling you to safely eject the usbd drive is to prevent your data from being corrupted. Although this will only happen if some data is cached.

If some information is cached on the computers RAM and it hasn't been written on the usb or is being written on the USB when it is pulled out of the computer will inevitably result in the USB drive getting corrupted. Once the USB is corrupted, you're going to need to format it before it can be used again.

Application's can be installed on USB drives and if you run an application from the USB drive and then remove it from the system abruptly, the application will stop immediately and until you insert the usb back, you will not be able to re-run the game.

I hope this helps

By following the recommendation to safely eject the device you allow the computer to close down any open files or processes connected to the device before it is disconnected.

This prevents corruption of the data and ensures that whatever you placed on the external device is able to be read the next time you plug it in

You must follow the process and that is clicking on eject and wait for it to say safe to remove. If you don't do that you could lose data stored on your device. Not only is it not good for your computer or the device. Formatting may be required but I haven't experienced that yet.

This question is kinda tricky. If you look at it from the surface, it would look as if civilians are indebted to the military men but that is not true.

The military men are the ones indebted to the civilians. The civilians' taxes are what are being used to pay the military men and take care of their needs. So they are the ones indebted to the civilians. Military protect the civilians because the civilians pay them to protect them by paying their taxes.

So they are the ones indebted to the civilians. This is how I see it.

Can someone be a spiritual person without following any religion?

According to me spirituality need not necessarily be related to a religion. A person can follow any culture or any tradition and still be a spiritual person. Also a person called even be an atheist but also a spiritual person. According to me spirituality is nothing but the realization of a spirit inside us. What are your views on this topic?

Indeed, some of the most spiritual people do not follow any of the larger religions.

Native Americans, medicine-people and shamans, for instance are heavily spiritual. In fact that is usually the entire basis of what they do. The communicate with the spirit world, seek knowledge from them and bring it back to their peoples.

Spirituality does not necessarily mean religion in any sense. It simply describes a deeper connection to a non physical world such as ours. A connection to something greater than the physical plane we are on in which the concerns primarily centre around material things. A spiritual person is less concerned with physical things in general and more concerned with the metaphysical.

It is often tied to a religious belief by the concept of spiritual meaning soul.

Yes. I believe you can. As long as you believe in a super being then you are spiritual in your beliefs. By going to church and reading the bible doesn't change how you think.

Yes, many individuals consider themselves spiritual, while not adhering to any specific religion.

Are sport stars overpaid ?

Do you think that sport stars are over paid or does the demands of their jobs warrant the huge amount they are paid?

I think they are as what they are being paid today is serious money and I think it is ridiculous.

No one is worth the money that they are being paid. Stars like Ronaldo and Messi are giants in their sport but why are they paid so much. The fans want them in their teams and the clubs want them for advertising revenue as well

They say you are worth what the market is prepared to pay for you and I think it has escalated out of control. In the English premiership new money was injected into the clubs through TV rights and pay per view. It wasn't little amounts either as clubs get a percentage of Billions over the next few years.

It has to come to an end soon and I can see capping coming into squad salaries similar to what has happened to the rugby teams.

They are INCREDIBLY overpaid, as are most entertainers

If we paid our top scientists, researchers, etc anywhere close to what these athletes or professional teams make, how much further advanced would we be?

If we devoted those types of salaries to helping the poor, the homeless, those affected by natural disaster or in need of health care, how much further ahead as a society would we be?

Instead we pay OUTRAGEOUS amounts of money to a few individuals gifted with the ability to entertain and then we pay even more to the television networks for subscriptions and PPV events. Not too mention what tickets to the event cost and of course merchandise. All so we can be entertained for a few hours at a time and forget our own lives.

Lets not forget these people started out playing a game they loved, they wanted to play and just happen to be good at. How many people can say that about their job? Maybe that you are good at it, but is it something you love? something you want to do/play?

So a few lucky individuals get to do what they want, play a game and make OUTRAGEOUS sums of money while contributing absolutely nothing to society in general other than what the ancient gladiators in the Roman Coliseum did? A few hours of entertainment for the screaming masses of the populace

If the demand placed on an individual by their job is used to measure what that individual or profession earns, then again they should not be earning what they do. Their are far more stressful, physically demanding jobs than putting on some pads and helmet once a week and banging into other people (yes I'm talking about American football).

They are paid way too much compared to what they give to society for me. I mean there are other fields and disciplines that do a lot to promote humanity and when i look at the amount of money these stars are paid, it could go a long way to achieve just that. You hear of someone earning millions of euros per month and you are marveled at his his annual icome per year when you punch your calculator.

All i csn ask myself is what do they give to society that merits such income? Entertaining the society and all that miney for wages/Salary? It is way too much and pretty ridiculous. Sometimes i am even forced to ask what they do with all that money but i guess it should be in a bank somewhere and some inveated in their properties and assets around the globe.

Why are Mondays considered a boring day?

We don't feel like working on Monday. why is it so it is considered as the boring day of the week?

I would say that this is a matter of perception. People have differ responses to differ situations.

I used to consider Monday to be boring because it meant I got to go to school again and have to face lecturers who had no joy. They were like evil task masters who took every opportunity to oppress us, their students.

I remember back in my fourth year, my penultimate at school. I dreaded Mondays because of one of my many sadistic lecturers. This one would always make sure everyone had a hard time. On the timetable, he was fixed for 8am but this man would make sure he came as early as 7 and most times would reschedule the class to begin by that 7am. He'd instruct that no one was to come in later than he did. His reason was that he being the lecturer ought to be the one coming late and not us, the students. He completely ignored the fact that he was the one that fixes the class for 7am and not us or the school authorities.

Everyone used to wish Monday delayed coming and we would be literally happy whenever we heard he was sick or had an appointment on Mondays.

Anyways, after school, Mondays are no longer living killjoys. I'm happy to begin the week with new energy to attack my week and ensure that my goals are achieved.

It's usually those who have to answer to someone that feel Mondays are boring.

Also, I think it's like that to people who have too much fun during the weekend and have to go back to theory normal lives at the beginning of the new week.

Overall, it's a perception thing.

Most people don't actually view Monday as boring. Those that love their jobs or their businesses actually look forward to resuming their jobs after the week end break. While those that hate their jobs or consider it to be less fun are the ones actually seeking the beginning of a new week as boring.

Monday is just like every other week days. It's the activities that you engage in in each day that determines how fun filled or boring you day would be. But a boring person will always have a boring day regardless of the activities in the day and a happy person can turn a boring day into a fun filled day.

Who the individual is and his/her perception about such day also play major parts in determining if the day will be boring or interesting.

This is due to how people perceive their reality.

Monday's are generally the start of most people's work week.

Most people hate their jobs.

Monday is a reminder that you will have to work an entire 5 days before you get another break.

Hence,

"Case of the Monday's"

Monday's are generally not shaped to be boring, nevertheless it's the day that comes before it that makes it seems like it's boring. Sunday is fun filled and packed with plenteous activities like picnics, church services family reunion and quality time watching movies so all these activities makes Sunday very interesting and time seems to move faster than usual.

However Mondays are the beginning of a new working day and the feeling of having to always return to work after a Sunday and Saturday of fun and staying home, makes Monday seems boring and very long.

It's definitely boring because working grudgingly on Mondays makes it so and it's the same with Tuesday and Wednesday as well really but it becomes better on Thursday and Friday.

Because it is the first day after the weekend, and you need to get back to work. If the weekend would be on monday and tuesday, then wednesday would be the boring, the yuckie day. It would become the new monday.

I suppose it depends what you are doing and what you call boring. Monday is the first day after a weekend of relaxation and it is normally a day of catching up.

I hate Mondays as things normally go wrong somewhere and not much happens. Business seems to happen on Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursdays.Friday is normally a half day as people leave early from work.

I think it is a mindset but Mondays are never boring for me as the day goes way too quickly as I am very busy. If you are bored then maybe it is the job you are doing doesn't have enough challenges or you have outgrown it.

Could my cell phone kill me ?

Is daily using of cell phone dangerous?

This question really has a lot of answers depending on who you ask.  There will be many people that look to the technical aspects of the phone.  Does it emit radiation?  Does it emit radio waves that could be harmful to you?

While many studies have been done trying to enforce or dispute those questions, I don't think any of them have been that conclusive.

It used to be believed that talking on your cell phone while pumping gas could ignite the fumes and cause an explosion or a fire.  In that case then yes, your cellphone could kill you, although I don't believe any instance of that happening has ever been proven.

If someone were texting and talking on the phone and driving and became distracted, that could be a situation where one might say the cell phone killed that person.

Finally, if you were to talk to the relatives of some of the people who died because they fell off a cliff while trying to take a selfie, they might indicate that yes your cell phone could kill you.  Others might argue it was the poor judgement on their part that caused the accident, but that is a more philosophical debate.

Personally, I think if there were significant dangers to using cell phones we would see much more evidence of it given the proliferation of them.

I once saw a episode from Mythbusters where the wanted to proove (or not) the radiation from a cellphone. There was this myth that a gasstation exploded caused by sparks caused by mobile phones. It wasn't true, they tried all kinds of things but nothing happenend. And like you said, there would be many more articles about radiation and the danger if it was really that bad.. :)

I had forgotten about that Mythbusters episode. Very good point!

No one knows yet what the side effects could be using a cell phone. i have often wondered what we could be doing to our bodies especially the new generation who spend all day on their phones.

Have you seen the experiment with the kernel of corn being cooked between the two cell phones using the electro magnetic radio waves. There must be some damage being caused somewhere but the cell phone hasn't been around long enough to see any side effects.

Yes in many ways

It could be launched at you at high velocity, hit you in the head or even have enough force to crack a rib or stop your heart.

If the screen is cracked you run the risk of getting a cut, which could lead to infection and death

By focusing on your phone while walking across a street you could be hit by an oncoming car, or possibly hit by a driver who is focused on HIS phone and not paying attention to you.

You could receive a text or phone call so shocking or scary or devastating you simply drop dead from the news.,

You could receive your bill, see all your overage and roaming charges and kill yourself.

And this doesn't even take into account when your cellphone AI becomes sentient and ACTUALLY tries to kill you

So as you can see, cell phones are EXTREMELY dangerous and should only be used by professionals in safe monitored settings while under the supervision of a medical staff

Probably the food that I enjoy.so it would have to be various meats and would do a type of rustic kitchen cooking with fire. I enjoy good food and a good atmosphere and it sounds enticing, but I wouldn't do it.

The hours you have to work is not a life for me and you have no family life. My dad was a chef and we hardly ever saw him. The holidays like Christmas and New year he was always working. I wouldn't do that to my family and there are better ways of living.

I think perhaps a good old fashion pizza shop.

I like the idea of a nice Italian restaurant, but I'm a down to earth kind of fellow. I don't want to deal with snobs.

The answer is no as the electro magnetic radiation waves break down the molecules in the food to cook it quicker. They don't affect what you are eating and it is a myth.

There is a problem if you use plastic containers to cook the food in though and it is true that you can get cancer from this. In plastics there is a harmful chemical called BPA which has been in use since the 1960's.

Plastic leaking into the food can create a few side effects like increased estroogen in the body which creates issues such as weight gain, hair loss, trouble sleeping and increased PMS. High estrogen can increase the likelihood of breast cancer.

The microwave is not the problem it is what the food is packed in.

Assuming a safe, new microwave with no cracks or other issues, then no it is not dangerous and will not give you cancer.

There are many kinds of radiation permeating all of us in the world these days. Everything from TV signals, to power lines to cell phones to radios and pretty much every other device that utilizes electricity to power it.

None of these by themselves are dangerous enough to warrant serious concerns and microwaves fall into this category.

At this point everyone knows that today YouTube is the largest and most used video hosting platform in the world, but it is also true that it is not the only alternative, in fact there are many users who, unhappy with certain Use policies of the Google Video Portal, look for other proposals

Well, in this case we are going to talk about another similar website, but at the same time very different, called DTube, a decentralized video platform that uses Blockchain and P2P technology. Say that the main interface of DTube shows us the most outstanding content at that time, the trends and the most viewed. At the same time we can search or use the menu on the left to explore various labels or listings related to our account.

In this same list we have two other options for videos called "see later" or "see again", which will be of great help. Clicking on a video opens a new window that automatically plays the content, so far, there are few differences with other sites like YouTube. However, we can ask some questions, since, in the absence of ads, how is the content monetized? At the same time we can ask ourselves where the videos are hosted, or the restrictions that we can find in this platform.

DTube, the P2P streaming video service without restrictions

And is that DTube is a platform without advertising, since it uses "Steem blockchain", which provides many advantages with respect to the operation of other portals of this type. This means that users do not have to make initial deposits and that there are no transaction fees.

In this way the videos uploaded to DTube earn rewards in the form of crypto-currencies for seven days, for which this site uses a decentralized storage system powered by the P2P IPFS protocol to store the contents.

In fact, with all this the publishers of the videos are not the only users who make money here, but the visitors who leave comments, can also accumulate profits. Content creators can add their own accounts on DTube and upload videos to the service, where normal videos and NSFW are supported (not safe / appropriate for the job). However, the latter are hidden by default, but can be unlocked by clicking on the configuration icon located in the upper right corner.

Therefore, the service itself states that there is no moderation of content by its creators, so that users have full control in this regard using positive and negative votes. Of course, this is a platform that is now in full growth, so it still has a time to mature to have more content.

In simpler terms: The main difference between DTube and Youtube is that DTube is decentralized.

Youtube runs on a system owned and operated by an organization (Google) giving them full access and authority over those who had signed.in and used Youtube before. The control is owned by one large organization. If Google wants to, they can suspend/terminate any account just because they can and have the full power and authority to do so.

Decentralized Apps (DApps) like DTube however are free from any control and interference from any single authority. Every user using the app is somewhat considered the owner of the app and/or share some stake over it. That is why DApps cannot suspend nor terminate any account because they have no full power and authority to do so and is also the reason why there are NO ADVERTISEMENTS on DApps. Since everybody somewhat owns the app, the advertisers have to pay everybody first before they can start advertising.

It is worth to note that DTube is built on top of the Steem Blockchain and must also adhere to ALL its rules and mechanisms. Which is why there is another huge difference on how content creators are being payed on this two platforms. At the moment, DTube only allows content creators up to 7 days to accumulate payout rewards in terms of an upvote unlike Youtube's eternity. Any content (video) after 7 days on DTube are no longer rewarded which honestly is discouraging and somewhat unfair to some vloggers especially people who only have a small following.

There are quite few differences actually

* DTube is a crypto streaming video platform on the Steem Blockchain where users can upload their videos and earn in the payouts of Cryptocurrency (Steem & SBD)

* Whereas Youtube has the same feature of uploading and sharing contents but has censorship issues and many more restrictions than Dtube and the once you get to earn from youtube you will be paid in USD most of the times.

* While Dtube is add free and does not has  other hassle like youtube.

* Dtube helps Content creators who makes quality Video with the form of Upvotes thus the users get a handsome payout compared to the new users of Youtube.

* Here in Dtube both the viewers and content creators can earn rewards by upvoting the content of the users in the form of curation reward(you have to have id in Steem Blockchain). Which for the viewers in Youtube not possible.

* No one can shut you down in Dtube with any issue one of the great advantage compared to youtube. You will have no issue in uploading contents.

This are the most basic differences.

There are a lot of Stuff DTube has to offer that Youtube doesn't. But to start with, the only important aspect Youtube has advantage with is that they have the best technology and big spending appetite to innovate more their site, DTube still is on the verge of developing a more convenient method for user.

DTube has a lot to offer that every person is facing this problem with Youtube.

- A platform that has no advertisements (Something I hate about Youtube, ads here ads there).

- The community decides the value of your video. It is with our upvotes to decide the value of one's video.

- DTube itself rewards its content contributors by upvotes.

- Decentralized and no central authorities controlling it, everything is transparent in the blockchain.

Oh I'm an avid daydreamer and I probably spend a significant portion of my free time imagining perfect scenarios of life where I'm some sort of crypto millionaire or maybe even a whale on steemit.

For the sake of people who don't know, daydreaming is exactly what it sounds like, it's an escape from your immediate surroundings into your mind and everything that's around you is temporarily replaced with visions that only you can see. It's basically dreaming but while you're awake.

I think that just about everybody daydreams, like I said it's an escape, an escape from the harsh reality of the kind of life that we have or situation that we're in. I find that people that daydream alot are people who are tired of their lives as it is and want something much better, but are often unable to make it happen or too lazy to do it.

WebMD suggests that daydreaming actually boosts creativity, while I agree with this, I believe that it hinders initiative because if you can create the perfect scenario in your head then there's no need to create it in real life.

Whatever the case, I'll never stop daydreaming, but I try to reduce how much I do it these days, if I can dream about it then I can surely make it happen in real life.

Daydreaming is simply short pleasant imaginations of things that seem impossible that one dwell on. It's not bad to daydream because it makes us feel cool about ourselves. The difference between daydream and real dream is that daydreaming only ends in the imagination. Nothing is done about it and attempts aren't made to cause them to materialize because the daydreamer think such dream is impossible for him/her to achieve.

I get lots in pleasant thoughts sometimes. Its one of the ways we can forget our immediate environment and worries and live in the elegance and fun of the world that we've created in our imaginations.. it's not bad to daydream as long as such daydreaming are not causing you to engage in harmful practices.

I find myself day dreaming quite frequently. I think it is just the indication of an active mind. I have attention deficit disorder so it isn’t that uncommon for my mind to wander. The key is that when I have to I can bring myself back to task and focus until I get it accomplished.

I think I would actually lose count if I tried to keep track of the number of times that I actually catch myself day dreaming through the day. I do feel it is harmless though and as long as you can recognize the line between reality and fantasy you are fine.

I daydream quite a lot, almost all day long. And if I'm not daydreaming, I try to use that time work towards realizing those daydreams.

And honestly, I think that is a pretty good way of living my life! ;-)

Why don't you upvote the Musing questions that you answer?

I have noticed that not so many users actually upvote the questions they answer and I wonder why that is the case. Whenever I find an interesting question that I answer, chances are that (if I have enough VP) I'll upvote it, because it's worth it.

But why don't you do it?

Curation is important and we need more of it here. What is your excuse?

I am honestly guilty of this as I have already answered many questions here on Musing but only upvoted around 5% of them. So I guess Sorry is in order. Sorry!! :)

My reasons are mostly because of the "dust payout threshold" and the VP percentages. Before HF20 all posts and comments with a payout less than $0.02 becomes $0.00 after 7 days.

Last month my effective SP was only at 250, which would mean I have to give a full vote($0.023) in order to ensure that my vote won't go to waste as not all questions are being upvoted by Musing. Seeing as VP recharges around 20% per day, that would mean only 10full votes on Musing alone.

Well I'm probably just making excuses here but now that I have an effective SP of around 1000+, I can now at least scale some of my votes to make this platform grow more.

So I swear to upvote ALL questions I will answer on Musing from now on as long as Musing has not yet upvoted that question. I think this will help the curators see what questions are of quality.

I probably will start at 20%($0.010) which I think is still below the threshold but I guess it's the thought that counts? :)

Ever heard of Dustsweeper? Tell people where you vote often of that service "My vote is only a small amount but with Dustsweeper it won't be lost"

I have heard of DustSweeper and have been using it for months now. It would have been cool if they added a feature in which a votee's vote would also be followed by them 5days after to ensure that it doesn't becomes dust.

Right now, dustsweeper only upvotes posts/comments from the one who have subscribed or was sponsored to their service. :)

You mean a service where I invest and it looks whether the comments I voted for had a high enough reward to be paid out? That could be quite a big amount, I don't know who would pay for that. I wouldn't. And perhaps that might discourage ppl to invest in Dustsweeper...

Truth be told the reason I tried DustSweeper was because I thought it did exactly just like that.

Months ago I used to get a decent amount of comments on my blog posts to which I always make sure to upvote above the dust threshold. This means I have to upvote most of the time around 50% which is ery costly, my thought was just I could upvote them at 10% and let dustsweeper do the rest. Well turns out it doesn't work that way.

So yeah I for one would pay for a service like that.

Thank you for using Dusty.
What you mention above is in the pipeline. The idea is to give users a choice, if they want Dusty to follow their vote or vote their own comments. The choice will be to set the preference, if there is enough vote-power, or not enough votes in one of the categories, Dusty will automatically do the other category.

Perfectt! Looking forward to it :) Thanks

I upvoted your question :).  I agree with you though.  Realistically though the majority of answer upvotes are coming from the @music account not other users on the platform.  For whatever reason, they seem to vote for answers more than the actual questions themselves.

In addition to that, I think a lot of it is just selfishness.  The users aren't here to upvote others, they are here to cut and paste their answer they grabbed off of wikipedia or reddit and try to make a quick buck. Kudos to the musing.io team as they appear to have picked up on some of that behavior and are tending not to upvote that stuff as much anymore.

Finally, there probably are some people who are just trying to manage their VP and keep things at a level they can sustain.  When you are lower SP and you don't have the slider it can be hard to manage your VP (mana now) when you have to upvote everything at 100%.

Greatly put together. I agree with everything you said. You made some solid points.

I myself try to upvote as much as I can and think that it is important for the success of Musing for users to bring up the quality in answers or questions with their upvotes. If not the value, then at least by quantity.

My SP is so greatly stretched out already with everything I do on Steem so sometimes I just dont have the VP but, I at least try to upvote a question that I find interesting enough to answer.

But we shouldnt forget that we need to upvote more answers also .A couple hundred users are smarter than a team of 5 curators.

Guilty! Now that you have mentioned it, the reason I haven't upvoted the questions I answer is because it never crossed my mind that I should. When I first got here, people were rarely upvoting each other, and perhaps that gave me the impression that it's not necessary or even appreciated. After all, my upvote isn't really worth much.

But, you're right. Musing.io users should also be upvoting the questions they answer and even other answers here in the platform. It's still a social platform, after all, and @musing should not be the only one doing it, if we are to grow this platform into something useful.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I think that people are still mainly spending their votes on steemit and very rarely on the dapps. That will change in the future though. I wanted to bring it up to speed up the process here on Musing.

You're right about that. The more people are aware that their votes could also benefit the DApp they're using, the faster this could happen. Another thing though, is that there are still very few users in Musing.io. Only 186 accounts have been active here in the last 7 days, so there are not a lot of votes to go around too.

I didn't upvote before because I've been under 500 SP - just recently got a big delegation. With only being able to give 100% votes here I wanted to save my voting power for important posts.

Thats alright. I wouldnt upvote in your situation either. Congratz on getting the slider! Keep working on your SP and Steem on!

What do you think @musing could do to clean the platform of spam?

Other than hiring 5K new people to do nothing every day but read every single post and comment and downvote them into hidden posts?

Not a thing. Spam is a plague that really can not be eliminated. I have no idea on percentages but I am sure the vast majority of spam is simply bot automated. So they can pump out as much as they want whenever they want. Create as many free accounts as they need and proceed. Yes RC will help combat spam but will not eliminate it. The big accounts that can do this have far more RC than they need and will have no problems spinning up new accounts, delegating enough SP and letting loose the army, if they so choose.

The best thing musing or any of us can do is report said accounts to the various services and blacklists, such as steemcleaners and others, and try to make it not worth their time and effort.

Even that is subjective. To some people if they make $1 a day they are happy, to others that is not worth their time.

I personally would love to see and hope that at some point musing will have the resources to "vet" more of the posts on musing. Eliminate the duplicates, the ones that serve no purpose, the "spam" on its platform. But even that will take much more resources than they probably want to devote to that.

After all musing is here to curate, not police

I think that it would be wise for them to implement some sort of whitelist system, or even a blacklist system so if you are a repeat offender you will not be allowed to post on the platform.

Additionally, if they were to publish some guidelines that give people an idea of how and why answers are upvoted the way they are, that would be good.  If it is set as a hard and fast rule that two word answers will not get upvoted, it might discourage people from continuing to do that.

Likewise, there needs to be some restrictions in place on copied material.  I see a lot of answers that are just cut and pasted from some other source and passed off as their own.  If you are going to use another source to answer a question at least point the person to that resource.

Finally, I see a lot of similar questions.  Especially this morning.  It might be helpful to have some kind of algorithm that weeds out duplicate questions.

Totally agree. I noticed once copied material and tagged musing in my comment to that person in which I let him know that it's not moral to do that. Musing responded, but before that the user edited his thread. It is a lot of spam around here unfortunately some being encouraged by musing through upvotes.

Yeah, that is pretty crappy. I am not saying everyone should be an expert on everything, a lot of these answers are just opinions, but if you are going to pull from an outside source, at least reference it. It is unfortunate because musing is being beyond generous with the delegation that they have been given and my fear is that a few people are going to ruin it for everyone by abusing the system. It isn't fair to the people who run musing and it isn't fair to the people who are asking legitimate questions.

Totally agree with you.

@musing can unvote "spam" posts. Hopefully with hardfork 20 that will be less of a problem as before because most of those kinds of posts I see are made by very small accounts and those accounts don't have much resource credits now for massive amounts of posts.

I think ignoring spam is the best option. No sense in wasting VP for flagging or unvoting accidentals. If we ignore it, the problem may or may not go away. Spamming isn't profitable here, and spammers are only here to make profit, so it doesn't align with their motive.

I don't think it will ever go away though, spam is everywhere. It's merely a defect of the human condition that came to fruition on the internet.

This is a difficult situation for the musing team as musing is not a platform for right or wrong questions and answers sessioss.

Became a question can be slightly twisted to have and entirely different meaning and some repeated question can be answered differently by different steemians. When all of these is presented as a search result can be a very useful finding.

Plagiarised answers on the other hand, is where I feel musing should create a that can scan for similar content on the internet and raise a red flag on such answers so it is not voted.

Does anyone know how to quickly open a new Steem account for a friend please?

One of the promises that came along with HF20 was the ability to quickly open new accounts as opposed to the ridiculous 2-week wait before HF20. I have yet seen no evidence of this and have a lot of friends waiting for accounts. Can anyone give me a clue as to how to do this, please?

At the moment, only developers and DApps have the ability to quickly open new Steem accounts without going through the usual channels like the Steemit faucet at signup.steemit.com or account creation services like AnonSteem. Regular users who don't want to wait for the 1 to week queue will have to pay the account creation fee. That's because the new account creation features built into Hardfork 20 are actually developments directed at DApp-based account creation and their future users.

Although Hardfork 20 has made it easier to create discounted and non-discounted accounts, the ability to perform these operations is still limited to DApps and other account creation services who have the ability to interact directly with the blockchain and perform the claim_account and create_claimed_account operations.

What this means is that DApps like Musing.io could, for example, call the claim_account operation, which will give it tokens to create new accounts. Musing.io can then store these tokens so that when users like you and me go to Musing.io to open a Musing.io account, which is essentially a Steem account, we won't have to wait long because Musing.io can just use their stored tokens to quickly create a new account for us. No more need to wait for approval from the Steemit faucet.

It's possible that someone will create a tool that will allow regular users to call the claim_account and create_claimed_account operations without going through a DApp. However, I haven't seen a tool like this, yet.

This is what the faster account creation under Hardfork 20 is. It's really an improvement directed toward DApps who want to build and onboard their own set of users, while leveraging their abundance of Resource Credits.

So, what does this mean for Steemians who want to open new accounts for their friends as quickly as possible? I think the best solution for those who want to open an account quickly is still to pay for the new account creation fee and jump Steemit Inc.'s review queue. At least, until DApps can implement the new account creation system into their interface and allow a faster account creation through them.

Great answer. Thankyou. Lots for me to get through :-)

Thanks... And I also just found out about this Tutorial on how to claim a Discounted Account by @mcfarhat. It's a little technical, but if you're up to it, it might be worth giving a try. It basically lets you create an interface to claim discounted accounts. Not sure how much RCs it would need, though.

Currently the fastest way to open a Steem account is to register for a paid Steem account. When you go to the sign-up page it shows two option - 'Free' and 'Third party/Paid'. The 'free option' would take 1-2 weeks of waiting time while the 'paid option' is instantaneous. When you choose the pay to sign up option, then you'll see this on screen:

I think if you are already using steemconnect then it is the simplest  and the best way to create an account. Open this link  https://v2.steemconnect.com/accounts/create

1. Fill in the name you want for your new account.

2. Be ABSOLUTELY sure to save that password very carefully at a safe place (if you loose it, you loose the account)

3.  Fill in "3.000 STEEM" as the fee (make sure that you have that liquid  steem in the account that you are using to log in from steem connect)

4, Press continue and log in from steemconnect to complete the transaction

5. You have your account

NOTE: As far as I know the promise of HF20 was of having the ability to get more accounts open. That was due to the scalability issues of the Steem Blockchain. This means that we have two advantages now:

1. Before the HF20 the number of Steem accounts that could be created were dependent on the number of Steem tokens in circulation. We can now have more accounts opened since now the account creation is subsidized by the blockchain. Basically as long as the witnesses think its safe to create more accounts, we can have as many as we need.

2. The Dapps are no longer dependent on steemit.com for account creation.

Good thing with the new hardfork, we can easily create accounts without paying but we can only use our resource credits.

Here's a blog post that will help you on it :   https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@reazuliqbal/steem-hf20-discounted-account-claim-and-creation-tool

and if you wish the tutorial code on creating it, here it is also :   https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@mcfarhat/hf20-tutorial-claiming-and-creating-discounted-accounts-1538321171071

Currently, I believe @blocktrades, @steemconnect and @anonsteem account creation is disabled because of the changes in Steem protocol with regards to account creation. If you wish a quick account creation, you can use the above links as a guide.

Note : It consumes your resource credits.

Excellent answer. Thank you so much :-)

If you are willing to pay, when you start the sign up process you will be presented with these 3 options to open an account paying, it shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes and 3 to 5 Steem, If you can afford to pay, Don't despair! head over to steem.chat and i'm pretty sure someone will help you out to sign up your friend as fast as possible!

As of now I'm now aware of anyone using the new RC system to open up accounts but the initial idea was supposed to be that the Steem Dapps with huge stakes leverage the system to their favor and sign up as many users as possible with their stakes! I'm sure that eventually every dapp will use it but for now, these are your alternatives! I hope this helps you out in your quest to enroll your friend into Steem!

There are a few different services, but with prior experience creating accounts, I would recommend utilizing the @steemmonsters account creation tool.

I recommend this option because it comes with great support if something goes wrong.

I recently created an account for a friend through the account creation service, and something went wrong, luckily @yabapmatt was able to help me. Had it not been for his support, I would have been out an account, and the money.

If you utilize this method, it's easy, seamless, and comes with support. You really can't go wrong.

When you permanently delete your files using shift + delete button. The computer just change the directory address to a new one.

The files are still present in your harddisk and can be gotten with a recovery software if they have not been overwritten.

Before answering this question, it is important to understated that files are stored in the hard disk of your computer, which is type of a magnetic data storage system.

When you delete a file from your computer (even permanently), the file doesn't actually get s deleted. What this means is that the file is actually kept where it was, but now the computer just doesn't care anymore if it overwrites it or not.

In fact, the modern firmware makes it so that the newly saved data is saved by overwriting the the oldest of the 'deleted' data. This is done so that the the recently 'deleted' data can be extracted easily and as cleanly as possible, if you need to recover it.

So essentially when you delete a file, you are just making your computer forget the address of the where it stored that file.

There's actually different levels of "deleting".

If you simply delete a file in your operating system (windows, macos, linux,...), it is most of the times simply moved into another folder, the "trashcan", and it will stay there untill you ask to put it back into place, or if you empty the trashcan.

If you "permanently delete" a file, or if you empty it from the trashcan, the operating system will mark the entry of the file as being "deleted". This doesn't mean that the file is gone yet at that moment. It has just been marked as deleted, so that the operating system knows that the part of hard drive that was taken by that file can be reused for other files. And as long as no other files have been written to disk, onto that particular spot, the file you've permanently deleted can still be retrieved by disk-rescue software.

If you "safe delete" a file (not available on all operating systems), the file is marked as deleted on the hard drive, and immediately overwritten by random characters for a set amount of times (99 or so). This makes sure that the file cannot be "undeleted" and read by someone else.

Files usually stay on your hard drive until the data is over-written by another piece of data.  There are programs which can permanently scrub files when you delete them, but most people don't use things like that.

Basically the data blocks are always there until they get overwritten either manually or as your hard drive fills up more.

This is highly debatable, but I believe they instantly transgress to another dimension, as a recycling process to keep rendering of our simulated reality to a minimum, because if everything is happening simultaneously, past, present, and future, then it's only logical to believe that the said deletion would be of value to some other present reality. In terms of the energy it takes to create and delete the data, it doesn't seem logical that it simply goes "nowhere."

Yes. It is absolutely possible to fire a gun in space,

Unlike the old days, modern ammunition is not dependent on the the atmospheric oxygen to create the chemical reaction that results in the discharge of a round from a gun. The oxidizing agents are present both in the primer and the propellant of the ammunition.

This would mean that the gun can also be fired underwater but it won't be very effective. On the other hand, firing a bullet while in space is also a totally different ball game than firing it normally on the surface of the earth. Here are the differences:

1. You won't hear the gunshot because of the vacuum of the space

2. The recoil of the gun would push you and will permanently change the trajectory of your motion in space, On earth the recoil is countered by the frictional forces between your foot and the ground.

3. The smoke leaving the gun barrel would expand like a sphere from the muzzle (unlike the earth, where the smoke leaves the muzzle as a trail)

In movies or games such as Call of Duty: Ghosts The outer space mission is depicted as shooting in space, whether it is a shotgun or a gun fired in space and what is the effect?

Returning to the original question, the answer is yes, it can happen, a conventional firearm in most circumstances will work well even in a room without oxygen.

This is because inside the gunpowder shells have their own oxidation material which is needed in the combustion process without an external source.

But there is a difference between shooting on earth and space. That is sound, there is no sound of eruption because in a vacuum does not allow sound waves to be delivered. Second, if on earth shooting will make the bullet target forward, but if in space what happens is when the bullet shot to the front of the shooter will be shot in the opposite direction, bounced or even turned backwards in the infinite space. Third, if on earth , the bullet will accelerate until it stops because of the target or if it misses then the bullet will continue to accelerate until its energy weakens and the earth's gravity pulls it to the ground. While in space, bullets will be more accurate when heading to the target because there are no air and wind barriers (the speed of the bullet is the same on earth and in space), but if missed the target there will be a unique phenomenon that occurs,

Yes it is possible to fire a gun in space as the cartridges today have their own chemical reaction that doesn't require oxygen to fire them. We all know space doesn't have oxygen so that wouldn't be an issue.

You won't hear the gunshot because of the vacuum so you would have no idea if it had even been fired really.

People will say the color of the mirror is Silver (silver) because mirrors are often illustrated as such, and indeed because mirrors are made of silvery things like aluminum.

But the mirror, in fact, is the "whatever you point" into the mirror. For example, in a green room, the color of the mirror will turn green. Then when viewed into a mirror, the color of the mirror will become "your color" or the object of whatever color will be absorbed.

If if you see a certain colored object, such as orange or whatever the color is what actually happens, what is the color of the object?

When a light (which usually looks white) about a particular object, for example the object is orange, then the object will absorb every visible light wave except orange where the orange color is reflected back (not lost).

However, a "perfect mirror" will reflect all colors or all incoming waves of light, so that more or less will be seen the color of the mirror is white.

The mirror reflects an incoming light into a regular, outgoing light, where the angle formed from the incoming light and the outgoing light is equal when measured on a right angle between a mirror and a normal surface.

Description

This type of reflection is also called Specular Reflection. This type of reflection creates an image in accordance with the object in front of it.

So, the color of the mirror is white?

Maybe also, but wait a minute. Each mirror absorbs a little light. Not only that, if you look at the spectrum of reflected light in general, you will see that a good reflection of light is 510 nm (nanometer) where people perceive it as green.

So, technically, a mirror has very little color elements that will be green. People can prove this in a "mirror tunnel".

This happens, when two mirrors are confronted with each other, thus creating a picture of the back of the mirror and so on with each new reflection so that the appearance in the mirror is getting smaller and disappearing but the green is still there. That is why why the reflection in the depths of the mirror tunnel that is getting darker (darker) is getting greener.

So, in the real world, the color of the mirror may have a "white color" which is actually a kind of green

Mirrors are made from clear glass just like you would find in a window.  If you then paint the back side of the pane of glass black or another dark color, it will refract the light back to you and you will see your reflection.

When I was in the Marine Corps, I was being trained on how to properly climb a rope, utilizing the feet to assist with the climbing process.

I don't know why, but I couldn't seem to get the technique down. I became so frustrated, that I trained my upper body hard enough to climb the rope with my hands only.

To me, this was an amazing feat, because not many people were able to do it.

I'm not an athlete nor do I engage in athletics so if I mention the below as the most amazing physical fear I've managed to pull off then it matters to me. Recently I went for a job screening into a paramilitary agency and one of the requirement was to run a distance of 2KM in 25 minutes. At first I was like these guys gotta be kidding me. I hate to walk and now they say run like seriously.

Anyway at the sound of the whistle I took to my heels and ran as fast as my legs could carry me and at intervals I felt like fainting but I kept running because I know how badly I need the job. I was able to get to the finish line at 20minutes. I was amazed. Okay like I fell on the ground first and tried to catch my breath.

For someone like me who is not an athlete. This is a great physical feat to me.

Getting my wife to marry me

Absolutely herculean effort

The gods themselves marvelled at my accomplishment

What happens when an active volcano under the sea (below sea level) Erupts?

We all know what happens when a fully active volcano erupts. It spits molten lava into the sky and flows down to the base and surrounding environment.
We've seen this countless of times on documentary channels or even in movies like 'Pompeii' the movie.
Personally I'd like to know what happens when the volcano is under water and erupts under water. Does it make the water boil? Does it kill the fishes? Does the lava solidify immediately because of the water?. A lot of questions I'd like answers to and I'm sure others would want to learn as well

if an undersea volcano erupts there will be two things, namely;

1. Will Cause Tsunami Waves

This is the reason why underwater volcanoes are potentially dangerous compared to mountains located on land. Tsunamis are a follow-up effect that starts from a volcanic eruption that disrupts and impacts volcanic eruptions such as the equilibrium of sea levels so that the emergence of waves will be even higher when approaching the coastline. Although the tsunami which was caused by volcanic eruptions like this is rare but needs to be watched especially for people who live on the sea coast that are located close to volcanoes.

Like the volcano located in the Sunda trough 330 kilometers southwest of the city of Bengkulu, which is known to be 50 kilometers in diameter and has a height of 4600 meters. The peak of the volcano is around 1200 meters above sea level and if it erupts it will cause a tsunami wave that is expected to wipe out the Enggano and coastal islands of Bengkulu.

2. Damage to existing biological resources at sea

Just like volcanic eruptions in general, volcanoes located at the bottom of the ocean can also cause various damages such as coral reefs and living things in them. This of course will disturb the marine ecosystem around the eruption location.

Although under the sea, incandescent lava released by the mountain is still at a high temperature, reaching hundreds of degrees Celsius. Such high temperatures cannot be accepted by living things in the sea so that it will cause mass death of organisms, especially those that cannot move like coral reefs and others.

Though I've mostly only read books from 21st century authors, I can say without doubts that these three authors are perhaps the greatest authors of the 20th century.

Number one is Williams Shakespeare, as expected. The genius of writing himself. His works continues to be used decades after historical demise. There is hardly any one who had passed through the four walls of an institution of learning that have not, in one way or another, come across words or quotes from his book. The ones I can remember are Romeo and Juliette, Macbeth, Hamlet and the Tempest.

Number two would be William Faulkner who is, I think, the only Mississippi-born Nobel prize winner. Such was the uniqueness of the man. Some of his works includes soldier's play, a fable and sartoris.

My number three is Charles Dickson. The works I love the most written by this great author are Oliver Twist, the chime and Great expectations. The one I loved the most is Oliver Twist. Reading it alone brings so much memories about my younger days when there were less worries. The first copy I had was a coverless, almost forgotten piece but it did nothing to reduce the excitement I felt.

So, there you have them. I wish you had asked about the 21st century though. Nevertheless, these are great authors and we are blessed to have their works within our grasps.

I would have to say George Orwell. Ranked by the British daily The Times as second on its list of "The 50 greatest British writers since 1945", Orwell may not be the best novelist or poet, but he is no doubt, one of the most intellectually honest writers of all time, which makes him the greatest in my book.

As the author of Animal Farm (1945) and 1984 (1949), Orwell wrote about topics that are as relevant and controversial today, as they were some 70 years ago. Tackling themes like political propaganda, state surveillance, and the dangers of totalitarian rule, he is a writer ahead of his time. Who would have thought that his Orwellian society where citizens are subjected to omnipresent surveillance and invasions of privacy, and where governments make use of "alternative facts" and propaganda to control its citizens would become everyday realities.

However, what really makes these writings stand out is that they were straightforward attacks on what he viewed as intellectual hypocrisy. Literary critics described him as possessing an "uncompromising intellectual honesty made him appear almost inhuman at times". As a writer, he was therefore uncompromising, bent on telling the truth in a "straightforward common-sense way".

Orwell's influence in language and writing is also undeniable. As early as 1946, in his essay "Politics and the English Language", he wrote six writing rules that are still taught and quoted today. His six rules were:

"(1) Never use a metaphor, simile or other figure of speech which you are used to seeing in print. (2) Never use a long word where a short one will do. (3) If it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out. (4) Never use the passive where you can use the active. (5) Never use a foreign phrase, a scientific word or a jargon word if you can think of an everyday English equivalent. (6) Break any of these rules sooner than say anything outright barbarous."

And thus, because of his enduring relevance and his intellectual honesty, I would consider Orwell as one of the greatest writers of the 20th Century.

I'd like to disregard the "who" for a second, and first answer the "what". WHAT is my worst teacher? I'd say--"Exclusively Theoretical Scenarios."

See, the reasons learning from exclusively theoretical scenarios is terrible are numerous and we could go on about them all day. To understand why, though, we might start by referencing the popular axiom, "Experience is the best teacher."

Recently I've found myself in arguments with a few of my friends who, perhaps wanting to go down as immortal iconcolasts, decided to challenge that maxim and say, "No dude. No, Hell no dude no way! Experience is not the best teacher."

And their argument mostly stems from the stance that you don't HAVE to go through some unfortunate circumstance to learn from it. You can, in fact, and should prefer to, learn from other's mistake.

That is fine, of course, and you might even be swayed by their rhetoric. But you have to remember that "they're" missing the point emphatically. lol. I say emphatically because the emphasis is not even on the word "teacher", it is on the word "best". Experience is NOT the ONLY teacher, or the SAFEST, or the FASTEST, or the MOST ADVISABLE, no, experience IS the BEST teacher.

While you may learn a lot from examining historical situations from which you're completely removed, while you may learn a lot from conjectures, and from the lives of people who "made it" or fail to make it, you can never really learn anything as EMPHATICALLY as you would learn it were that situation or event pertinent to YOU.

A child who sees another child insert his hand in a burning candle will see the other child's pain and wince. He might even say he'd never try that ever in his own life. But we ARE curious beings. It will not be at all surprising if the next day that child chooses to also insert his own hand in the flame just to see how much it stings or if the boy had exaggerated. But NOW having had the experience HIMSELF, he can make the decision to keep doing it or never to try it again.

Which brings me back to why "Exclusively Theoretical Scenarios" are the worst teachers. You read it in a textbook, you read it in a novel, you extrapolated, you came up with the amazing conjecture in your head--all fine and good! But I tell you, until you have experienced that thing in real life, until have practicalized it, so to speak, and determine what its real life applicability--or lack thereof--is; until you have done these you CAN NOT claim to know anything about anything in real life.

Is it any wonder that most university graduates find it hard to make it in the real world? No, of course not. I would know. I am one. Four years in the University studying industrial Chemistry. I can write off hand the equations for the extraction of various metals and transition metals. But do I really know a thing about how it works in REAL LIFE? No.

So again, what is my worst teacher? Learning exclusively from theoretical scenarios. And who are my worst teachers? My college professors! Cheers XD.

My worse teacher would probably be a teacher I had while I was in high school.

She was serving as a youth corper and had been assigned to teach our class mathematics. She was the type that didn't care about what happened in class and only focused on those who were seated in front of the classroom.

I usually would go for the seat closet to the blackboard but I didn't resume that term on time. By the time I resumed, the chairs closest to the board had been occupied. This period was one of the worst for me as a student because it was Ss1(Senior secondary school 1). It was the period that formed the foundation for the remainder of two years that the senior category of secondary school was supposed to cover.

Mathematics had always been my best subject and even during the Junior West African Examination, I had one of the highest grades in the state. That was how much I lived the subject. However, on getting to higher classes, this youth corper's method sucked the passion out of me and I started losing interest in the subject.

From Jss1 (Junior Secondary school 1), I don't think I ever scored below an 'A' in mathematics. Yet, when this lady came around, I had a condemning 'C'. It was totally unbelievable. There was absolutely no way that should happen.

Although I still managed to top my class as the overall best student, I can't forget that period and what it did to my passion for the subject. The corper only lasts that term though as she had to be replaced with another teacher while she went to the junior section.

This question really got me thinking. I had to reflect back to the day's when I still had to go to school. I think I probably have had more than one 'worse' teacher throughout my school days.

In my primary school, there was once a guy whom everyone feared. His name, if I'm correct, was or is Pascal.

I remember how I had just joined the school in Primary Two and began hearing of him immediately I entered. I was told he was no longer in the school but the dread of him still lingered. Then, one day, he came around when school was on break time (recess). You needed to see the way some pupils were crying. These were those who had dirts on their uniforms that they couldn't remove. Also, those who hadn't worn socks to school were crying.

When he went round the classes, he took canes with him and I really got to understand why people disliked and feared him.

Well, matters got worse when in Primary three, my teacher left and because of his close relationship with the headmistress, he was called upon to fill in for our teacher. That was one of the greatest evil I saw in school then.

This guy would handle two canes and would demand thats the pupil stretched outs both hands as he flogged the two at once. I was generally a good pupil but still managed to fall into his trap some times.

Also, in secondary school, there wash this teacher called 'Apochi'. This guy could flog like he was born with the gift. He was always the first to show up whenever a student erred and he'd flog till the student almost fainted. I was lucky though to always escape his punishments. I was prefect and also had a reputation that preceded his time to take my class. He liked me and so always excused me. The only time I should have received his 'flogging' was when the zonal director(principal) had noticed that my class was always getting dirty and made 'Uncle Apochi' flog the whole class on the assembly ground. My saving grace was that I was on morning duty and was sweeping the class of some senior students when assembly was going on. He sent today call me but I ignored totally.

When I got back to class, I met almost everyone of my classmates crying profusely.

Why do I say these guys are worse? That's because using the cane is the worse way to teach a child. Students should not be be forced to learn by using the cane. Students are humans and not animals that should be flogged. I think other means of punishment are better.

My worst experience with a teacher in my 4th semester of college it was a programming class and the guy would just give us the projects, already completed, he sent the files to our email and told us "learn that" and that was it, eventually the day of the quiz or exam came and you had to explain your way through things, it was basically a self-learning class  but he was supposed to be teaching it... Instead he just gave the students the solutions and told us to learn from that... when the whole point of programming is to learn problem solving, whats the point of just getting the answer and studying it?

Actually I had many, but a particular teacher stood out. In African schools, sticks and canes are always used to impact knowledge and however my English teacher was a lover of the cane, he spoke with his cane, taught noun phrases and adverbial phrases with the use of his cane and as a result of this we hated him.

In the process of getting low grades in my assessment tests I discovered I started hating English language in my high school.

He was my worst teacher too because his class exercises were too much, we wrote so many essay of which he didn't even bother to grade them, he made us work too hard without even grading us, his handwriting was terrible and if we copied the wrong thing he wrote he punished us for it.

It may seems be taught us life lessons that were valuable, but at the high school level which I was, he was our/my worst teacher.

That's would have to be my Chemical Engineering Design lecturer. He also doubled as my Project supervisor in my finals and he was terrible. The man had no regard for time at all and would have a class by 8am but come to the place by 4pm and then make you wait while he teaches other classes that he fixed with other levels.

I remember coming for a test that he fixed by 7am when I was in my 2nd year or 200lvl as they call it in Nigeria. My course rep called him by 8 and he swore that he never fixed a test by that time and that he fixed it by 12pm. We all patiently waited 12pm to come and he still didn't show up!!! He eventually came around by 2pm and still told us to wait while he had a 2 hour class with the masters students that he fixed a class with at the same time as our test.

Being his project student was hell on earth!!! He blatantly refused to review my work for weeks, and when the time came to do my final project defense he told me that I wouldn't defend with my course mates because he hadn't finished reviewing my work. I eventually defended but he refused to send in any assessment score for me so I ended up getting a B when I was supposed to get an A.

Finally, when the degree results where being approved by my faculty he objected my degree result and insisted that he never supervised me and that I should come back and repeat the year. The head of my department stood up for me and my result was approved, but I still had to come back to school and get him to sign off on my project. He reviewed my project in 3 days and gave it back to me for corrections(this is something he refused to do for 3 months). I made the corrections and submitted it to him and he finally signed it.

I truly despise the man and iboray I never come across a person like him ever again in my life.

I had a biology teacher that was ridiculously mean to the students. It is apparent now that the reason for this, was because she was miserable with her own life. She shouldn't have taken it out on 9th graders.

I flunked that class horribly because I didn't have any desire to impress or please her, and I knew that a bunch of flunks doesn't look good for a teacher. The next year I took the course over with a different teacher and scored a 95.

The Boston tea party, of december 16th, 1773.

This was a decisive military action against the English, which basically was the start of the United States as we know it.

As the US is now leading the Western world, I believe we can clearly state that this battle has had a great impact on the world as we know it, and on a lot of the events that have taken place since on world scale.

For instance:

How would WWII have finished, if the Boston tea party had never taken place?

Even the battle of Waterloo (I am currently about 15km away from Waterloo (Brussels, Belgium) while writing this btw ;-) ) would've been different, or not have taken place, if the Boston tea party would not have happened (the army of the British Duke of Wellington was at about half force when going to battle against Napoleon, because a large part of his army was still in the US, or had died there).

I would say World War 2 and the reason why is that the world was threatened by one countries dominance. Germany wanted to rule the world and they came mighty close to achieving it. Europe fell too quickly and weren't prepared. If it wasn't for the Russians , English and the Americans the world would be a total different place today.

There are many important battles through the ages but this one stands out for me as it was crucial for the world powers to come together. This will make any country think now that they arent fighting one country but others will get involved. keeping world peace is crucial to the stability of the world.

But within WW2, any battle or engagement that you felt is the turning point?

Since @bozz took my WW@ answer I'll go a different route

Waterloo

Think about what the world was like then and what would have happened if Napoleon had won at Waterloo.

Would Germany even exist? What would have happened after Napoleon died a few years later of stomach cancer and his 13 year old nephew Napoleon III would have assumed the throne.? Most likely a civil war would have ensued.

What would the world be like now with 200 years of chain reaction/alternate timeline from that single event and what followed?

Baguette and cheese anyone?

If Napoleon had triumphed at Waterloo, much of the world might be speaking French today

Ahh oui oui :)

Why can't I go to sleep?

I have to get up in 6 hours

Why can't I go to sleep?

I have to get up in 5 hours

Why can't I go to sleep?

I have to get up in 4 hours

DAMN I'm OUT OF SHEEP!!!

Why can't I go to sleep?

I have to get up in 3 hours

Why can't I go to sleep?

I have to get up in 2 hours

Why can't I go to sleep?

Awww crap might as well get up now I have to be up in an hour anyways

There are a many things that I think of before going to sleep. Will, list some of them.

1. Thank god for giving me all what I have

I've, inculcated in myself for being thankful for all what I have. This just gives me a pleasure.

2. What will I do next morning.

So just think about what I need to accomplish tomorrow. Its just a mirror of to do list for tomorrow.

3. Do I owe anyone and how much.

This is funny but I do think who all I owe and how much I owe them

4. Thanks people who have played an instrumental role in my life.

It would have been difficult to be at a place where I'm without those people who have helped me. So, I think about those people and thank them before I go to sleep.

5. Finally do a quick flash back of the day and see if I can improve myself.

As someone that always likes to have everything planned out; I always fall asleep thinking about the next day.I rest my thoughts on the things i plan to do the next day, how i will do it, when and where. I just quicky do a brain analysis of all the things of the next day making sure i leave none out.

I hate to be surprised by circumstances i did not plan for and i don't like just altering my plans for the day without any tangible reason. So i really think about the next day very carefully before falling asleep.

Also, i also throw thoughts on how the day went, the things i did right and wrong. For the ones i did wrong, i try ponder on a better way i would have approached it, make the necessary ammends and create the perfect picture in my head. Everyday brings a new opportunity to become better and how can you fully face the new opportunity when you have not fully corrected the mistakes of yesterday?

Hope this helps...

Legit question, especially these days where bear market took place for about a full year now. At this moment land is considered as something more secure and it is an axiom. On contrary Cryptospace is curently going thorough rough times and nobody knows when and what will encourage investors to become part of new economy and bring new value to the ecosystem. Furthermore it depends on how will you treat your land or  bitcoin couse having a  capital and do nothing with it is just  stupid.

On the other hand the  question is uncomplete as you didn't mentioned any specific relations nor thoughts which makes really hard to make a logical statemant. But if you ask me if i would have some small plot or  bitcoin i would prefeer having bitcoin(assuming that we have equivalent price ratio). The reason for it is that it is  easier to use and maneuver BTC around rather than process the land, at least i see it that way. What are your thoughts?

Interesting question you ask here but It's probably all about location and size of the plot of land, a small plot in any medium sized city is worth a few bitcoins for sure.

Both can end up being highly valuable but there are a few factors that you have to take into account when owning a plot of land, I already said the first thing, location but not only the location is important, what surrounds your plot of land matters too, other houses in the area, proximity to important things like malls, hospitals and transport, services, is the region where your land plot is located growing economically and attractive? If you can answer yes to half of those, then you are probably better off with some land, especially if you have some money to build something on top of it, develop it and maybe rent it for passive income and always have the option to sell it if necessary,  getting passive income is key to grow in life and find peace to be able to dedicate yourself to other business endeavors, like bitcoin and other crypto currencies!

I think land is more valuable than bitcoin. Bitcoin is virtual but land is for real. Assume, if Bitcoin value goes to zero than it means no one is going to think of Bitcoin and remember it. Whereas, if you own a piece of land or a house big or small its gonna be there, which has a real value. Hence, I feel land is more valuable than Bitcoin.

A lot of it is going to depend on where the land is located.  Bitcoin has a pretty fixed value at any give moment.  The price of a bitcoin in China is basically the same as the price of a bitcoin in the United States.

Land on the other hand can be worth many different amounts depending on where it is located.  Land that is on a lake is going to be more valuable than land that is in a swamp, even if it is a much smaller plot.

If you see value as being volatile but also fixed then I think you would probably assume that BTC is more valuable.  However you are just looking at it monetarily and  you consider the amount of demand there will be for said piece of land, you will probably consider land more valuable.

They are both commodities with a fixed supply, in the end though I would probably consider land to be more valuable.

Land is by far more valuable. For one thing it can't be hacked (yes it can be stolen). You don't have to worry about it being lost if you lose your computer or "keys" or wallet etc. It's  always registered with a government that can prove ownership

Depending on where the land is its value can increase or decrease over time. There are very people who have bought and held land for extended periods of time that have lost money on that deal. Can the same be said for bitcoin?

Land is a commodity and many many things can be done with it. As the years go by the value of the land can change simply by what can be done with it. It might have started out as a patch of dirt and dust but 10 years later thanks to new irrigation techniques its now a fertile farmland. 20 years after that its the most sought after location in the country for multi-million dollar homes. 50 years after that some new mineral was discovered beneath it, etc.

Land has verstatility and longevity that bitcoin simply does not have.

Yes I do get that feeling sometimes. I think you are right on target when you say that it is something akin to a sports arena. I also feel that as long as the competition is fair, then it might actually be good for us. Free markets are just that - Free.

Maybe it would be a good thing for the markets to thrive by the competitiveness of the people supporting their projects. I am obviously assuming that people supporting their projects are doing so because they understand its importance to the market.

There are so many things that government and centralized institutions are doing to slow the growth of crypto. Some of these reasons are:

1. The government and central banks have run propaganda campaigns against the crypto

2. The banking system can be used to manipulate the inflow and outflow of fiat from the cryptocurrency market and it is even now being abused to slow the growth of the crypto market

3. Crypto has been subjected to several unjustified regulations in the  markets all over the world (India is a prime example in this case)

Under the affect of these opposing forces, I think it is really good that the market is being so competitive internally. That being said, I won't deny that some this competitive spirit has taken a negative turn oni form of scams and sabotage.

Nope I don't actually. It's somewhat different. There are people who want CRYPTO to get adopted as fast as possible, and there are people who are profiting from the old systems so hard that they are doing everything in their power to slow it down as much as they can!

But it's nowhere near the football-fanatics since they simply want their team to beat the other team, they maybe grew up in certain area & blindly followed the club of that area, not realizing how that's an illusion to keep them entrapped

In crypto space on the other hand, everyone are very well aware of the power blockchain will bring to the world & rearrange it, hint decentralization so this is a bit different warfare

Much more tactical, so the example could be put on football coaches. They are the ones responsible for arranging the tactics, picking who'll play, deciding whether to go offensive or defensive - and that's what you see in crypto space today, that kind of tactisizing from the people who want it to grow asap, and from the people who want it to fall down many more times firstly so they can allocate themselves much more of that digital assets :D

But don't get me wrong, even the ones profiting from old systems like no one else are very much aware of the immense power of crypto, and while they are spreading BS (misinformation, propaganda & fear) don't you doubt it that they are buying that crypto daily! Soon as the price is bearish. so yeah - everyone have different motives, some hidden while some show them

Usually the ones with hidden motives are the ones who are allocating even more than the ones who are showing all the cards on the table :P just sayin'

For sure

Everyone has their favourite coin and will hype, vote, root for that one. There are also coins people don't like for whatever reason and will trash talk or spread FUD about either to destroy that coin or in the hope that it will improve their coin somehow

Your analogy to soccer fans is spot on

This is a very funny question. Your wife should be loved more than a girlfriend for so many reasons. Your wife is your better half, she's one with you. Your wife is your pillar of support, she is the mother of your children, she is the woman that would be with you through thick and thin. She's the woman you pledged forever with before a crowd. She will be your nurse when you are sick, your companion when you are bored, your mother when you need care, your friend when you need a friend, your lover to satisfy you sexually. She is your all in all. Even if she chooses to walk away, it is never an easy decision.

A girlfriend was there before you got married and yes you did love her enough to perhaps marry her or not but a girlfriend cannot serve the role of a wife. She can decide to walk away so easily when she believes she can no longer consider. If you are married, you have no business with keeping a girlfriend as that amounts to infidelity.

Love your wife even the holy book says so not love your girlfriend. Laws accepts your wife but do not recognise a girlfriend, religion also. This is enough to know that you should love wife more.

My wife

She won't me have girlfriends anymore and funny enough I  have been OK with that for decades now.

If I ever did love a girlfriend more, they would be my wife and the answer would be the same.

What is your view on buying Mars soil (Maritan dirt) that is being sold for 20$ per kg?

University of Central Florida's Planetary Sciences Group have possibly simulated Mars soil and have been selling it for 20 $ per Kg. What is your view on that? Some people say that the University managed to create a fake soil and they are now selling it. Do you think it is a fake soil? For more information about this news, you can search google for "Mars soil".

Of course its fake. It didn't come from Mars so it's not "Martian" soil.

Also since they cannot verify that their "formula" is correct and actually duplicates the soil on Mars, this is another reason it has be deemed fake.

They most likely received multiple, LARGE grants to undertake this project, now they are making MORE money off it? Well welcome to the US where everything has a price and can be sold.

Dirt... I mean its dirt folks. Scoop some out of your back yard say it "possibly" (to avoid those pesky legal proceedings by the offended Martians) Martian dirt and sell it for $15 / kg. Undercut them.

Personally I don't see the point. Its not a collectible, it didn't come from my Mars so you don't have anything special. How do we know its the final product? Did they mass produce this already? If so why? If not, then its probably one of the earlier "failures" and again is not real "possibly" Martian soil.

People will buy anything and this is proof of that

I don't know if this is real or not but I bet any person that enjoy delving into the sciences and space would love to have 1kg of Mars dirt in their house, including me lol!

Imagine all the conversations you could start with it, "Take a look at that recipient, it looks like dirt but its... well its dirt ok, but its martian dirt!"

According to me it will depend on the person buying the Mars soil. If, you are a scientist and would like perform some research on the Mars soil that you would love to shed those$20. But if you are a person who loves to collect unique/antique things that would be a good investment worth buying Mars soil. Whereas this Mars soil wont be much of a help to an ordinary man who is neither a scientist or a person who has a hobby in collecting unique things. Hence, overall buying Mars soil will drill down to the kind of a person you are and what would you do with the Mars soil - the cost wont matter if someone really needs it.

Eat dirt!😾

Greetings Vicky, answering your question I truly believe that both options are feasible or could occur and I will explain why.

First of all, we must bear in mind that homosexuality is the attraction or behavior of individuals of the same sex or gender. This behavior or behavior, from my point of view may be due to 2 factors that could be physiological and psychological.

With the physiological factor I mean that there could be a failure in the organism that could determine a deviation in the common behavior of the individual, for this I will give some examples:

1- A baby or fetus during pregnancy must receive a quantity of hormones (Estrogens) provided by the mother. Children develop (thanks to their genetics) estrogen receptors that do not allow the passage of this hormone in cells; while girls develop receptors that allow this step. In this way girls at birth will have the necessary number of female hormones (in addition to those that develop in the future), while the child will develop their male hormones over time, as it grows.

If there is a genetic failure in the sequence that encodes these receptors, the assimilation of hormones can become unbalanced and thus give another behavior to the individual (not necessarily at birth, but if as it develops), this way the " it is born" could be explained.

2- There are other types of physiological faults of the body that can cause this, such as faults in the glands that secrete hormones, faults in the transport of these and others.

Personally, I know an individual with the first case (who has a genetic failure in the production of receptors) and it was not until an adult age that he realized what happened and why his behavior was affected.

Now with the Psychological Factor, it will depend a lot on what is instilled in the infant, who surrounds him, his experiences, and everything that participates in the development of his thought and how he sees the opposite and equal gender.

From situations such as the infant is developed in an environment surrounded by a single gender or sex; who lives with parents of the same sex; what his parents teach him and how to teach him, his positive or negative experiences when interacting with the same sex and the opposite sex, among others.

But wait, does not mean that these circumstances determine that homosexuality is generated, everything will depend on how the child interprets, analyzes and above all how he feels about each circumstance. From here we can say if '' is done '' or not.

You are interested in knowing a little about the first case about the genetic failures of the receptors, and I know that you will do it because you are a scientist. I invite you to research ESR1 or ESR alpha and ESR2 or ESR beta, associated with sexuality.

Wow, you are going right for the hot topics aren't you?!

It is my opinion that it is something you are born with.  I feel that there is enough scientific evidence to prove that.

Unfortunately, homosexuality is something that is misunderstood, ridiculed, and looked down upon in much of modern society.  Not as much as it used to be, but still very much more than it really should be.  If  as some people hypothesize it is a choice, why would a  human being choose to put themselves in that position.

I think the fact that you have many people feeling the way they do despite all of their upbringing, their families values, their religions rules is proof in and of itself that it is something you are inherently born with.

My wife is a social worker and works with many people from all walks of life.  She has even worked with young adults who are going through the phase of questioning why they are how they are.  Her professional opinion as well is that it is something you are born with.  If I could have her answer this question I would because she is much more adept at the technical terms than I am.

I'm of the opinion that homosexuality is actually made. I don't buy into all the crap about people being born with the likeness for the same sex. This is not and has never been normal.

It's a pity that humans would always try their best to distort God's creation. People would leave the natural use of their body and chose to go after that which is against the law of creation, that which is despicable.

The man God created, he created a wife as a companion. There's a reason why God creates Eve and not Steve for Adam. If God didn't want homosexuality then, He doesn't want it now.

Also, God would have made an Abigail for Eve and not Adam. The fact that God orchestrated things to go this way means that's the way it should be.

There is the saying that the best way to understand a thing is to check its beginning. The best way to understand the way God intended for things to be is to check the beginning, the creation and from every indication, there is nothing pointing to homosexuality.

Those who say people are born that way are devoid of the basic understanding of nature and creation. These behaviors have been developed because humans don't gets tired of experimenting. Now, there are reports of people having coitus with animals. Would you say that's natural too? Were they created that way, to have sex with animals? I think it's rime that proper check be done to our systems and what we hold as morals. Otherwise, we lose our sense of rationality and become emotional entities.

It wasn't so from the beginning.

If God has a plan for everyone and God is omnipotent and all powerful does that not mean he KNEW in advance this is what would happen and is something mankind has EVOLVED to.

If everyone is simply fulfulling God's plan for them, how can this be abnormal or against God's will? It is after all what God MADE them

Interesting one, although it is hard to give full diagnose as question is rather complicated. Socialization has the biggest impact and it can't be denied. Homosexuality exists ever since,  and it is nothing strange or wierd about it, but these days it became like mainstream movement. Being "different" is the ultimate guide, even if it means to change your sexual orientation. I hope noone will get offended but mostly people choose to be gay in order to get attention they mostly desire. On the other hand there are people who were born that way and i'm fine with it as they do not directly affect my life. The only thing that matters is are you a good or a bad human being, after all we should all be united in diversity. Cheers

A family is the smallest social group that is blood related. These days, we have people living with us who even though are not blood relatives have earned the title "family". Everyone needs a family. A place where you know you are accepted even with your flaws. A place you can totally be yourself, a place where you're always welcomed.

Family is the first point of contact for every child. The first and single most important influence in a child's life is the family. The foundation for everyone begins in a home and a home has family in it.  A family has structure that  has been put together to help a child grow into a responsible adult. A very organised family provides the physical, mental, moral and social support that is needed for a child's well being. They provide food, Clothes, shelter and basic things needed for a child to start life.

Growth is of different classes and in different stages. We have Physical,  mental, emotional and social growth.

Physical growth refers to the physiological and morphological growth that comes with  a child's  development.  For a child to grow physically, the child needs food. Not just any kind of food but balanced diet to ensure that the child is not deficient of important body needs. The early stages of a child development requires a lot of attention and dependence on family most especially parents because at this stage, they can't really help themselves. Parents provide the food need of the child.

As the child grows older, the parents begin to teach the child and challenge their mental prowess as they prepare the child for school. As the child grows into a teen, he needs the emotional love and support of family in order to grow into a healthy adult and relate with others out of the love he/she has received from parents.

The child grows into an adult who is emotionally, mentally and spiritual balanced. With spiritual  values inculcated and moral discipline instilled the child is sure to be a great adult. This is why children with physical deformities still have self confidence because they've been made to understand that life is beyond physical and the greatest limitations they could ever have is within them all thanks to support from family members.

Children  can achieve great heights in their careers with the right support from family. Children need the counsel and opinion of family members especially parents when making certain decisions. They  need the security their parents  offer.

I will say very important in a good number of ways which i will talk on in the following points..

1. Financial security

As a child, you need financial support to cater for your needs since you are not responsible for yourself at that age and what better soirce of financial support can you have if not from family. With a family by your side you are confident that you will have a source of financial provision and that will go a long to help children grow normally without having to become adults overnight to fend for themselves thus limiting them from having a normal childhood experience that has a role to play in their normal growth.

2. Love and a positve psychology development

Children that have grown up in a family that loves them and shows them that they are loved have in most cases turned out grow healthily and positively in terms of psychology. On the otherhand children who have grown up without family have shown a negative psychological development and most at times have demonstrated a slow rate in their growth.

3. Morality

Children who have been brought up in a family environment have been impacted with moral values that teaches them of how to lead healthy and successful lives. They have also been under family discipline measures that guides them on how to live responsibly introducing them into thinking as adults and behaving well. This has helped in the growth of their personality and a better expression of it while children that have grown out of the family context have been studied to show no growth and development in healthy lifestyle and responsibility.

The conclusion of the whole matter is most children that are nurtured in the family have experienced positive growth and development in behaviour, character, responsibility, skill etc.

Family plays a great role in not only just growth but healthy growth in children and in ensuring that they exhibit their full potential..

Hope this helps...

Family is an important matter to child's growth. Children develop their character by how their parents mold them. Children interprets and observe what was given to them, how they are treated, and what support they got from their family.

A family with good character often produce the best children. It is by how they train and treat their offspring into becoming of what they want. It fosters and boosts the growth of their children when play their role as parents.
