Your STEEM Whale status is determined by your STEEM POWER (SP). The % of Whales in the STEEM ecosystem is very low and rightly so, because they became whales by acquiring a lot of STEEM and then POWERING UP. You need to be in the order of hundreds of thousands SP to have that power. Do you have liquid $100K to $500K spare to buy STEEM at these sub $1 STEEM price? You can then become a whale. It is not possible for the average new user to comment and upvote a few posts a week and expect to turn into a whale!
Before become a whale, think of the smaller creatures first (dolphins) and work your way up. You need to dedicate a lot of time, quality posting and curating, and then build yourself a community who supports you consistently to grow here on Steemit. Make connections and add value. You will see a lot of dolphins really building quality content and sharing it with the STEEM users.
