Spiritual life and materialistic life are miles apart. Spiritual life talks about your relationship with the creator. It's all about doing things that enhances your relationship with God. Someone that is spritually conscious, lives his/her life according to the principle of God.
Materialistic life on the other hand, is the opposite of spiritual life. Spiritual life seeks to please God while materialistic life seeks to please self. A materialistI'd person loves things a lot. Such type of a person would want to have everything that his/her body desires. Materialistic person wouldn't mind hurting other people in order to get what he/she wants. Their needs or wants are always placed first an they would do anything to satisfy such need or want. A materialistI'd person doesn't care about God or the things of the spirit. All such a person care about is all they can see and that would give them pleasure.
But there's much more to life than chasing material things because we all are going to die some day and leave all those things behind. Anyone that's not taking care of his/her spiritual life is putting his/her eternity at risk
