RE: Muting Proxy - What if we subscribe to other accounts' muting lists?

Sounds like a great tool - If someone or some service was to create a global "blacklist" of spammers, one could easily follow and therefore easily have a cleaner Steem :) Might not be necessary but definitely a nice option to have. Glad seeing you creating useful services like this and dpoll, etc.

Thank you! I believe the bigger credit should go to the @berniesanders on this since he's basically sponsored the app.

Meanwhile, we have talked with @themarkymark that, creating a couple of accounts for well-known blacklists using the global blacklist API may give a chance to people subscribing.

Ex: A newly created @steemcleaners-blacklist account constantly mutes spammers and we can subscribe their list via the app.

It could have helped to explain what mute does.

When you mute a user, you don't see their comments or posts anywhere they appear on the chain.

A mute/follow is listed on the blockchain, but it is obviously interface dependent, because obviously you can still see their comments and their posts using a blockchain explorer.
Interesting.
It now made rethink someone else's idea that a follow and a mute should not be blockchain operations.
Not agree and not oppose, just rethink and wonder.
