My Favorite Hobby Is Metal Detecting!I Guess It All Started When i Found The Youtuber Nuggetnoggin And When I Saw All The Stuff He Was Finding I Was Instantly Drawn To Metal Detecting🤑🤑! I Wanted A Metal Detector And I Wanted One Fast! So I Went And Got The First Metal Detector I Saw! It Was A Bounty Hunter.. Sadly It Took Me A Long Time To Find My First Coin... My First Coin Was A Stinking Lincoln Penny💰💰.. But that's ot What i Saw It As! I Saw it As A New Hope!! I Jumped Up And I Bagged That Penny So Excited! I Quickly Covered The Hole then Looked for More! The Next Day i Had Even More Luck! I Searched Through My Local Park And i Found 3 Quarters, A Set Of Cabin Keys, And A Model t Ford Hub Cap!
Later That Year I Figured i Would Upgrade! So I Did My Research And I Did What Nugget Noggin Said To Do! Get A Garret Ace 250.. And That's Exactly What i Did! I Went Straight To Ebay And Found My Ace 250 Bought It And It Was At My House In 5 Days! I Was Back To Hunting! That Year i Bagged About $3.94 💵In Change As Well As A Skeleton Key And A Buckle! The Next year Was When I Found... SILVER!!! I Found A 1944 MERCURY DIME!!! I Was Having A Bad Day Not Finding Anything When i Got An Amazing Signal! I Dug It And i Thought It Was A Pull Tab But I Got It Out of The Hole Looked At It.. I Didn't Believe My Eyes!! I Was The Happiest Guy In The World!!!
I Probably Dug At Least 100 Pull Tabs, 50 Cans 1,000s Of Nails And Other Iron Objects To Find That 1 Silver Dime! Not To Mention The Millions Of Zink Rusted Excuses For Pennies. After About 4 Months I Started Running Out Of Room To Metal Detect. So I Wend To This Buch And I Really Searched It Hard. I Had Dug Up 4 Pennies 2 Pull Tabs And i Was About To Give Up.. That's When I Heard This Signal. It Was Pretty Choppy But Something Inside Me Told Me That I Had To Dig It! Inside The Hole i Had Dug Was a Small Button. I Rubbed The Dirt Off Of It To See If there Was Any Marking On It And There Sure Was! I Easily Recognized The Button And It Was A Great Seal General Service WW2 Button! I Was Really Happy!! That Button Was My Best Find Since the Silver Dime!
Later That Year i Used Some Of My tax Return And I Decided To Buy A Couple Of things To Increase My Hunting Power And Bought A Couple Of Things. The First Thing I Got Was A Good Serrated Shovel Which Really Made Digging Easier And Faster! Then I Decided To Get A Pinpointer! Specifically A Garret Propointer AT. That Was The Best Thing i had Ever Used! All I Now have To Do Is Dig My Hole Bring Out My Pinpointer And Spin It Around the Hole And i Basically Find My Signal With in 5 Minuets!
3 Years After I Got The Ace 250 I Was In Desperate Need Of Another Upgrade.. My Ace 250 Was nearly Broken. That's When Before My Eyes I Saw My Future Metal Detector!! The Garret Ace 400!! It Is Able To Go Under Water Up To The Control Box And It Has Iron Discrimination! I Needed it! It Was Only $450.. In Know It's A Lot! But That Didn't Stop Me! I Bought it And When i Got it I Was instantly Out In The Field! But I Found Out That the Ground was Frozen.. And Do i have Been Waiting For 4 Months For The Snow To Melt... That Brings Me To Today!

Thanks for sharing about your metal detecting. I used to do that many moons ago. When I was a 18-19, long time ago, a friend of mine and I would go dump digging. We go to old homesteads and look for where they dumped their trash. Sounds yucky, but these had long disintegrated and what remained were old metal cast iron toys, or bottles that turned purple. It was fun. Just like metal detecting!
