Hi Friends,
This post is an entry into the weekly Show Us Your California contest hosted by @thesocalhive.
While it is a bit cooler this time of year, the bugs and insects can still be found from time to time. I was in the backyard the other day, and found this Praying Mantis hanging out on the tire of my truck:
A couple of nights ago, the kids and I went out after dinner when it was dark out and took a flashlight to look for bugs. We found a lot of spiders, a few crickets, some rolly-pollys, and ants. Nothing too crazy but the kids enjoyed the hunt.
