Introducing myself: A new Young Talent.

Hello Hivers, I'm Shoyombo Desireoluwa Betty by name. I was born and brought up in Lagos city, Nigeria. I come from a family of 6,and I'm the 1st child of my parents. My mom is a fashion designer and my dad is a civil servant.

I'm Currently a 200 level student of Lagos State University Ojo Campus, studying Counseling Psychology. Also I'm a lover of music, to the extent that I listen to music while reading, like I'm easily so attracted to songs,probably because my mom is a Music Minister, I can't say😂

Ok, now let me tell you how my story went. I started this journey as a writer at my secondary school level,I had so much interest in writing, and then I decided to be in Art department. The urge to write my own articles started also in secondary school days, because I was so found of reading different kinds of novel, articles and many others back then.

After secondary school I went in search of courses that would need me writing. And then I applied for Mass communication at first in Lagos State University,but I was disqualified due to some certain reason. And then my Big Daddy told me about my current course of study Counseling Psychology.

Then I applied for it, check the content of what the course is all about,and then I realized I can also apply my writing skill into the course,for instance; Counselling individual through books online, and through writing word of encouragement to my client.

Alright I was told about a lot of platform for writers like "Substack,LinkedIn, Amazon,Evernote and many others".. Yeahhhh,I got to know about Hive through @Fashtioluwa he told me a lot about Hive and he mentioned many other information that would improve oneself. Though I had to ask a lot of questions because most of the things he told me, i still don't understand, but I am open to learning regardless. He also believe in me, gave me support, and introduced me here,and I'm happy being part of this family.

Joining Hive would broaden my understanding and would also be a source to explore more on writing,and also get to learn and teach, because life is about give and take. Thus, I look forward to learning and enjoying wonderful experiences of trends and with every one of you.Kindly share your knowledge with me because I'm new to this.
