Hi everyone .... This is the Pearl Plug made by the Pearl Bait Co. The lure measures about 3" long. The bait is almost sure to have been made right around 1922 or certainly during the 1920's. The lure is made of strips of MOTHER-OF-PEARL banded to a wood body! No damage found on the pearl bands. Outstanding colors and patina! The red head and red tail are wood and both have some light scattered paint loss. This is RARE there is no doubt about it!
