My entry into #mypictureday #16 hosted by @timsaid
ICE, ICE everywhere! Not snow this winter but rain that has frozen and turned the land into a skating rink.
This is the land behind the house where the path to the forest starts. I don’t think I will take a walk there today.
Ice Field
The smooth look is not long exposure but water turned to ice.
It’s been an unusual winter with freezing one day and in the plus side the next. I have not experienced a winter with so little snow..not that I mind!
There will be no marshmallows roasted in the old outdoor fire pit anytime soon.

This something out of Anne of Green Gables.
Haha @mineopoly. I’m in Anne’s land and sometimes feel i’m Living in her time frame here.
Beautiful but looks cold!
Thanks Michelle @michellereneekid and for the resteem. It hasn’t been too bad weather wise compared to some winters here on the Island.
awww makes me feel chilly just looking at those pictures - quite beautiful!
Thanks Andy @andysantics. I will be glad to see spring.
Such lovely ice photos! It has been a really mild winter here too. Today it's rainy and windy and I love it! We've only had one good snow so far.
Thanks Peggy @peggyhazelwood. It nice not having too much snow to remove fron the driveway.
Wonderful landscape images Joanne. I really love the frozen ice look over th water as it creates superb textures
Thanks Trudee @trudeehunter. It’s been a different winter.
Wow @redheadpei nice photos. Living down here in South Texas can't even imagine . It would be nice every once in awhile. We did have our first snowfall in December after 33 years without any. So that was nice. ( 3 inches)
Thanks again for your post....upvoted of course :)
Thanks so much @robertandrew. There is usually a lot of snow here January and February. Maybe we are really having global warming. :)
These photos really speak to me, for some reason. I think they remind me of skating on a shallow pond in the winter many, many years ago. Let's not count how many years ago it was. ;) Lovely lighting in that first shot, especially.
Thanks @katrina-Ariel. I was thinking the same think about skating on ponds in my youth. All the ice around, I never saw one person skating outside.
