I have made my nails for a few months now but I realized I usually do the gorgeous or classy theme and haven't really tried the cute one. Except probably this Daisy nails design but this time I wanted something candy-like cute theme.

Inspirations

I browse Pinterest for some inspiration + motivation for nail designs and they have A LOT of good pins out there. I wanted something like a combination of this.

Here are the links to the pins: Inspiration 1, Inspiration 2, Inspiration 3, Inspiration 4.

It's important for me to note that I drew inspiration from these, although they aren't exactly the same, I still wouldn't call them my original design.

Process

I started by prepping my nails (cleaning cuticle and adding base gel) then sculpting the polygel using dual forms. I'm still having quite a hard time working with polygels and especially to make them last longer but they are getting better.

As you can see, I was watching Steven Universe while doing it haha. Netflix only has the Season 4 which sucks.

After I'm satisfied with the polygel form, I then painted it. I like the one in the pointer finger most especially, I only painted like half and left the small part unpainted and it makes a really good look.

For the thumb, I used a french tip sticker to guide me with the line. It made the job easier haha.

Here is the finished one for the left hand. I love the pearls at the ring finger too.

The real challenge is doing it the same way on your dominant hand (using the non-dominant). I decided to use blue for this and just change it a bit. It was difficult to do it and I made a lot of mess around the cuticle area lol.

I have to work on the sides and make it neater. It was more difficult to paint it with a design even tho I just did a heart and dots haha but I have to get used to doing it on my right hand.
