The attack occurred barely 3 days after some gunmen also suspected to be herdsmen attacked six communities in the state.
Gunmen suspected to be herdsmen had also last week Friday stormed six villages in Benue state in military uniform, shooting sporadically and setting houses ablaze in an attack that claimed the lives of at least ten people.The attacks on the six communities occurred barely two days after the state Acting Governor, Benson Abounu, raised the alarm about plans by some unnamed people to attack five communities in the stateSpeaking after the attack on the six communities, the state government, however, urged the security operatives to live up to their responsibilities by averting further attacks in Benue.
No comment has been on the fresh attacks that happened at the early hours of today.
