Nationalist Democratic Movement (NDM) Chairman Bobby Hajjaj has declared Popular Band Miles founder Shafin Ahmed as the candidate for the upcoming Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) mayor elections.
He declared this at a press conference in the VIP lounge of the National Press Club on Tuesday (26th December). He also described the registration process of his party to the Election Commission.
Bobby Hajjaj said, "NDM wants to participate in the upcoming mayoral election of the DNCC. We are declaring NDM's highest policymaking forum member Shafin Ahmed as the mayor candidate. He will make our dreaming city. We hope that concerned citizens and the young generation will accept him."
He also urged the government not to plot against the people's mandate.
