#347 - Foot prints in the sand.

Imagine how far our plastic wastes can travel once they are out in the sea. This is one of a pair of blue slipper washed away in the shore of this lovely island. Don't know where it came from but it has reach here by floating hundreds or even thousands of kilometers of the sea water just to reach here in Jomalig and become a subject of my frame.

I saw this sandal while we were walking along the shoreline of little Batanes to make some foot print marks but the a different foot print came up, this time a print which is also man made but will never disappear not in a thousand years.

The sea water and the sky's colors are already in perfect blue but got reduced by this blue man made material. After taking its photo, I removed it from the shore and out it farther in land so other people who are locals could maybe get rid of it in a proper way and not putting it back in the sea.

This is the area where I saw the blue sandal. Those fresh foot prints were left by my wife as she walks further in the wet sands.

We hold our hands facing the big waves of the sea water. There are plenty of these kinds of rock formations here as well where the water splashes every few seconds.

I am in a bit of high ground on this shot while wife flexes her muscles.

Just me posing on top of a rock with the strong waves in the background. Swimming here is not advisable unless for those who are pro because the waves are big and the current is strong too.

Plot twist, 25 years from now, someone finds the other, and then this post
