#351 - Along the sandy beaches of Jomalig.

Yesterday morning we woke up as early as five with my wife because we had a plan to walk along the riverbanks before we start our work during business hours. We rode a jeepney bound to the town proper where the bridge is also the starting point of joggers and walkers. But when we arrived there, the rain started to pour so we ended up cancelling the walk and had a light meal instead from a small eatery located near the road. After we finished the breakfast at around six, the rain is nowhere anymore so we decided to just walk again but in slow pace since we have some meal already. So we had about one kilometer of distance covered when suddenly the rain drops started to fall so we ended up cancelling it for the second time and just went to the market to buy some red rice and few rice cakes.😅

That was my early morning yesterday and now allow me to share these shots taken on an island about six hours of boat ride from the pier of Quezon. This is the rocky and sandy shoreline of the beach area they call little Batanes. The waves here are the biggest on this island.

Then the next two shots are from the beach that have these orange colored sands. The grain is a bit bigger compared to those in little Batanes which are finer.

Since the sands here have bigger size, your feet will immediately sink a few inches to the sands where you step on and you will have a lot of the sands in your sandals too.😅

Now back to little Batanes, this is the entirety of the shoreline which has sands and the rest are all rocks already.

They have this little nipa hut where visitors can stay on and relax momentarily while enjoying the view. Swimming here is ok as long as you are a good swimmer, the waves are big and will immediately pull you in the deep part so caution is needed when swimming here. We didn't swim but in another beach area near the resort we stayed on for a couple of days.
