I love zoo visits with kids. They get so excited and are really curious about everything. It's enjoyable seeing that excitement.
Those are some fantastic photos! I showed my oldest and now he wants to go to the zoo 😅 (I told him maybe this weekend)
He kept yelling "Giraffe!!!" then he'd run toward them. As soon as we'd get to the giraffes he'd yell "Elephant!!!" and run back in that direction.

That's cute, because my kids act similar. Our local zoo has an elephant—also a sad looking one, but in the case of our zoo I think that's because they don't have the funding to properly care for her—and a bunch of smaller monkeys right next to some meerkats. My kids run back and forth between all of them.
How old is your son? It's great that he could enjoy so much.
He is 2 1/2 right now. His behavior has been changing a lot over the past few months. He has basically become a wild beast. But I am finally starting to adjust! Just in time for him to change again.
haha I remember that age. Both my boys also were pretty wild, running around like crazy and so on. Luckily things are fairly safe in Japan so I didn't worry that much letting them run wild outside.
Good luck dealing with it! But also enjoy it all you can, because it goes really quickly. I often miss when my kids were that small.
