Is There A Growing Magic Mushroom Market in the U.S.?

in #nature8 months ago

Oregon was the first state in the United States to establish a market for psychedelics business, allowing adults to use and obtain psilocybin.

They've also introduced the first psilocybin therapy treatment center license as well.

They are not the only ones either, Colorado has also followed in the same direction.

Will we see more in this area as far as mixing psilocybin with mental health treatments?

This is a move that comes years after voters in Oregon decided to go in this direction and legalize a market in this area.

Will the industry help to bring back new life to the region?

From Oregon to Colorado and other areas around the world it is interesting to see a move in the direction of looking at psychedelics in a new way than simple and harsh criminalization.

Not everyone might be happy about it though.

New Business Opportunity?

A number of businesses in recent years have sought to look at leaving Oregon, will this industry help to bring new ones to the region? As well as foster a new stream of tourism as well?

Previously, surveys have shown that a number of Americans would be interested in having access to magic mushrooms for mental health conditions, among other reasons. Still, there are many out there who claim there is no medical purpose for this product despite the growing awareness and seeming acceptance.

That might slowly be changing with Americans voters. It seems a lot of progress has already been made, especially since it seems that there are potentially millions of users already in the United States who are familiar with the product.
