Magical Fig Tree

in #nature8 years ago

Hi All,

Check out my fig tree, I planted it about 10 years ago now in Perth, Western Australia and its about to produce some more beautiful fruit through March, April, May and and even up until June. While some fig trees have only a 2- 3 week run of producing fruit, this trooper goes for around 3 months!!!

Nature at its finest, a few more weeks and these babies will be ready to eat!!!

Underneath the tree i've got some basil and parsley growing for those last minute recipes I just pop outside and pick it fresh!!!

Thanks :)

Thanks.

I've got a buddy that eats figs all the time, but I can honestly say that I've never seen an actual fig tree. Very cool! How big was it when you planted it? Just wondering how much it actually grows in 10 years.

Hi @captainbob it was very small, around a foot tall, its just a great tasting fruit and i think there are some health benefits to go with that also.
