If I want an early sign of spring I can visit my mother. She is 85 years old, but still going strong. Flowers and gardening have been her big passion and interest as long I can remember. From beginning of Mars the first green flower seedlings shows up. Today she have lots of pots and tubs with small flowers. In the middle of April she move all the flowers to her greenhouse to make them ready to plant outside in June.
When visiting her a guided tour is obligatory, and that gives a feeling of spring and life :-)
Have a green Saturday, but don't look out the window. At least here in the north.

My wife also plans to grow stuff this spring. She has some seedlings growing at the moment.

Yes she always got much more than needed. Every year she say next year she shall have fewer, but in the end she can't throw them away.

It's great to see your mother so active at 85. Mine has been kind of declining in activity over the past several years. Still very sharp mentally, just not getting around on her own as much.
That's quite the indoor plant set up. Lots of green leaves.
I take it must be too cold to just go straight to planting in April? Some things we would plant here are ideal for April, but a lot of times we put off until early May just because there's too much rain.
Hello nice to meet you. Yes it is to cold the plant must stay and grow in the greenhouse until June before they can be planted out. Middle of June is a thumb of rule here north. I wish your mother all the best, great she is sharp mentally.
