Edelweis Flower is a very famous flower with its name as a perennial flower, this flower just grows and grows in the height of the mountain that allows full sun. This flower is able to live long enough so no wonder if this flower is called as a perennial flower .
The original edelweiss flower and often called the Everlasting Flower is actually the Leontopodium flower that we can find in the alpine mountains, and not the Javanese Edelweiss or Anaphalis javanica flowers. But because this flower is already famous with the name, the core of this flower is actually on the yellow powder that within 1 - 3 days after the bloom will fall out and leave only the petals flower.

But luckily the Javanese Edelweiss (Anaphalis Javanica) flowers are widely cultivated by farmers residing in the Dieng Plateau area in Central Java. These farmers cultivate it by planting seedlings grown from seeds and scattered around their parent trees and planted in upland areas of more than 1000 mdpl, on calcareous or sandy clays with a pH (acidity of soil) between 4-7.
Behind the beauty of this edelweiss flower turned out to be a myth, which is for those who give this flower to their partner, the myth says that his love will be immortal. Not a few people with love who make this perennial flower into one special gift for her partner. It is said that it was meant to be eternal love.
Not a few people believe that if giving these flowers to their partner then their relationship will be eternal then many who are willing to climb to get it for the sake of his partner even though it is prohibited but many of them are breaking it. Some people make this flower as a symbol of the lovers' immortality.
