Ecosia has already plantet about 20 billion trees around the world!
They have committed to spend at least 80% of revenue to plant trees. They plant native species in a way that will also support local economy. For example in Morocco now they are planting a lot of fruit trees, to make sure the locals will have a source of income and not cut down the trees for short term gain.
If you want to stop using google but aren't sure which other browser to use, perhaps Ecosia would be worth a try!
