Snowed In Saturday

in #nature6 years ago

I woke up to a fresh blanket of snow and this time it was deeeep! The power is off too. I made my coffee on the wood stove.
Today I'm going to enjoy my phone dying and then hopefully lots of reading. Sometimes it's nice to have a forced disconnect.
In the spirit of the snow day, here's some of my favorite snow pictures saved on my phone!

I will come rescue you!

Oh thank goodness! What I really meant was I want to pretend I'm unavailable and then watch Netflix all day while eating all the icecream in the freezer.

Sounds good to me...so eat ice cream till the power comes back on, then watch netflix?

They are the best days (as long as you have some wood heating that does not need power !) We had a snowstorm here last week and got a few feet of snow.

It's really cozy as long as you have heat! A few years back our little town lost power for 5 days and my rental was all electric. After that I said never again would I have a house without a wood stove or propane! The only thing that didn't loose power was the Casino. It looked like a homeless shelter in there after a few days with all the townspeople bundled up and hanging out at the buffet.

I love the photo of someone frolicking with the colorful blanket!

That's me!

Ya know, I should have known that. I've even got a candid of some of that expert level frolicking..

Hahahaha there it is, "expert level"

Looks like you're trying to take off and fly

No electricity? Oh no.....you must be where the storm hit hard. We got about a foot of snow and some wind but nothing too serious. Some trees went down in the older areas.

I love your little porch and cabin/house in the woods. That would be me sitting outside with a cup of coffee or tea enjoying the outside as if it were any other season.

Your photos are wonderful.....and most importantly, I love your coats and blanket!! haha....so shallow.

Not as cute as your town though! Why thank you- the yellow jacket is my favorite right now. I love that rainbow blanket, unfortunately it's covered in dog hair!

Yes the yellow one!! Love it! My kind of coat.

Looks like snow's going round at the moment! What an incredible location for it though! Amazing!

It's pretty cozy although its taking quite a bit of effort to keep my car unburied!

wow, these shots are incredible! Love how you captured the serenity of the location.
