RE: Walk with me ... along the sea

in #nature7 years ago (edited)

I hope you guys get to come here, there are some really awesome places to visit. Just around here in southern KZN we have so much, besides our beautiful beaches. I recently posted about the world's smallest desert, the Red Desert, which is within walking distance of my school, and we have the Umtamvuna Nature Reserve with so many birds and small animals. There's Oribi Gorge and Lake Eland Reserve with giraffe, eland, waterbuck and more. And we're right on the border of the Eastern Cape, also known as the Wild Coast which is a beautiful part of the country.
Then there's the Garden Route, Cape Town, the lowveld, Kruger .... I could go on and on!

That's an amazing amount of things to see and do. I hope you all take the time to enjoy all of it, too. My wife is from Mexico, but hardly did any traveling. I think we've done more of it since we've been married than she did growing up there. Finances always has something to do with that, but some things she never did before we did it were close and cheap to get to.

Things become considered for the tourists, when really, they should be for the people who live there, too. Especially if it has something to do with their ancestors or heritage.

As I said, one of these days. She wants to get to Europe, back to Japan, continue to visit her family in Mexico and California, go wherever our sons end up living, and so forth. Not even sure if places I'd like to visit are on that list. :)
