Beautiful Yet Deadly.

in #nature7 years ago

As opposed to the common notion, snakes do not attack humans intentionally. Rather they try to keep themselves as far from humans as they could.

They only bite humans when they feel cautious for their lives.

Just give a chance to snake to get away and it will easily crawl away from you.

Today I have compiled a list of 3 beautiful but deadly snakes.

1. Rattle snake.

One of the most famous yet deadly snake is rattle snake. It could be easily identified by a triangular head and rattle on its tail. They are found in parts of America, Canada and Argentina.

Juvenile rattle snakes are considered far more dangerous than adults as they can't control the amount of venom injected when they bite.

Rattle snakes could be very dangerous as their bite can destroy tissue, cause blood coagulation and affect organs working, you could be paralyzed in a few seconds depending upon the amount of venom injected.

In case of a venomous bite, a long lasting effect is absolute, which can range from loss of a limb to death.

However if antivenin is applied on time, risk of death is less than 4%.

If a rattle snake bites you, you should be as immobile as you could and as the venom spreads faster with your mobility.

2. Death Adder.

The name itself sound the danger. Death adder could be found throughout Australia.

It is one of the most deadliest snake in the world as it has very toxic venom. Its bite could cause muscle weakness and paralysis.

Although there is antivenom available, you don't want to try it, so if you spot a death adder you should keep yourself away from it.

Its bite effects is slow but fatality rate is 50%. It has also the quickest strike in the world as it can bite you in 0.13 sec. So it is quite fast in biting its prey and unfortunately humans if they feel danger for their life.

Most snakes will hide if they hear a human approaching, but not death adders, they will stay where they are, so it could be dangerous to unknowingly step on a death adder hidden in bushes. They might even chase you to bite you, they are terrific swimmers too so they won't hesitate to swim to their prey.

Black Mamba will bite a number of times when it strikes. If bitten, victim will feel increased salivation, foaming in mouth, losing consciousness slowly, respiratory failure and death if not treated.

Black Mamba could kill a human in 15 mins to 3 hours depending upon the venom he has injected.

In case of a venomous snake bite in the wild, things you should look for: activated charcoal, mongoose plant, ice water, lavendar plant.

Apply these on the area bitten and consume a little bit to reduce the effect till you get the required medical attention.

There is some good basic information here for people who are not normally around snakes at all! Ive come access a baby rattlesnake while I was running on a trail once and that really spooked me since I know that could have been much worse than running into an adult one. Thankfully, I saw before I was right on top of it!

wowww, that could have been dangerous. Happy that you saw it ahead of you.

Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean

They are beautiful his snakes. I'll follow you because I'm passionate about reptiles and I think you too. Good job

Thanks a lot.

Really interesting post! I didnt know about those ingredients

Thank you for trying to make them justice with this post. It makes me angry hearing people that snakes are bad and they want to kill them. When I was a child I wanted a snake as pet. Fortunately, I understood that no animal should be kept captive and that we should admire them from far, in their natural environment

I appreciate how good hearted you are and the way you equalises every animal for their rights. They should be treated fairly like living things.

Great information and pictures. I ❤ snakes but have respect for them as one should

Then you are a great human being.

Thank you :) i just try to be me and appreciate the good things around. Good luck with your post

Intresting read! :)

Thanks for reading.

i like this

A snake with tiny horns?! I'm done! That's practically my worst nightmare in real world! I have profound fear of creatures with no legs and even more for creatures with past 4 legs. Put horns onto a snake and i will confess to being the guy behind 9/11 and stealing your lunch from work!

Well if you observe snakes from a fair distance, you could see the beauty they possess. And admire the beautiful creatures forever.

wow u r earning very good amount of money it's a dream to me please help me to grow my page please resteem my only 1 post please please

Really great post! I work at a facility with snakes full time and it's a blast.

There's just one thing I wanted to point out:
"Juvenile rattle snakes are considered far more dangerous than adults as they can't control the amount of venom injected when they bite."

This is actually a (really common) myth. Young rattlesnakes DO have trouble controlling their venom so yes, they do often inject all their venom, whereas an adult would only inject a small burst. However, they are not more dangerous than adults for two reasons: 1, their venom is weaker than an adults, and 2, their venom glands are much smaller, so even injecting a full load is not as dangerous (it's about the same amount as a single burst from an adult). I made a couple posts about common myths like these a while back (if you're interested).
