THE WAITING ROOM OR OPTION B?

in #nature7 years ago

Yesterday, we had a decision to make.

Monster Truck and I had ran to town to get a window on our truck fixed. Somehow, I had completely smashed it out by accident. It just so happened that the auto glass place was right across from the lake, so rather than sitting in a waiting room watching the programs (AKA "programming") on television, we took a stroll by the lake and told them to call us when the truck was ready. Interestingly enough, we found out that it takes about one catfish, two snakes, a turtle to replace a broken truck window.

OPTION B

As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

Until next time…

Sweet dreams are made of this
Travel the world in seven seas
Everybody looking for something....
Having a good time with your boy.... PRICELESS.

Priceless indeed @pouchon! Thanks man!

Nice! Time well spent....:)...

Certainly was! Thanks @jang!

well done, I probably would have opted for the TV and air conditioning.

You are not alone in that!

This very Nice post

I love plan B's! Sitting is a repair shop waiting room watching drivel on TV is not what I like to do with my time!

I hear you! We had a lot of fun instead and enjoyed some of the marvels of creation.

Lol, dont know if its to smile or laugh at it.
Fixing just a tiny thing in a car can take from 0-infinity seconds.

You're right about that!

hahahahahahahahaha.. lol

Ha ha, I didn't know that, but now I do! I'm going to have to start measuring time using that method.

"How long does it take to run a mile?"
"Well, approximately two turtles, one smallmouth bass, and 14 popsicle sticks from a picnic yesterday."

LOL - I love it! Use that for sure.

waiting is a tedious job. although we can still kill time by making Plan B. Plan B is sometimes something challenging and soothing. and you do it in the wild to have fun with the kids. It's much healthier than sitting in the waiting room while there are many other things we can do. Count small adventures while waiting for the chef to cook ... (maybe a fitting phrase ...)

Plan B is amazing, it was it was fun and same time funny lol... The pretty snake and all the others although I didn't finished it, plan B is really cool. @papa-pepper and buddy pepper.

Thanks! Glad that you enjoyed it!

Thank you for taking me on this adventure with you! That was a fun and educational way to spend my morning! And I love turtles!
@bitsy :)

Thank you for choosing to come along! It sure is a lot of fun!

You are great at making use of facilities, time and place while teaching Him your smart child

Thank you!

Your are welcome

Priceless, irreplaceable time with your child. He will remember that moment always. He is also learning to be a devoted nurturing father when he grows up, just like his dad. I enjoy so much watching you with your lovely family. This is how it should be!

Thanks for that! Glad that you enjoy it, I know that we sure do!

I love the way that steem can help with this paradigm shift! You might have done this anyway, but we wouldn't have known about it. I find that these 'option B's' are much clearer now, when a picture is worth 10 cents worth of steem and the television just seems to make me age faster. ;p

Yeah, I've been doing things like this for years, but until steemit came along, the world never knew! LOL

We wouldn't have known
about your trailer or home,
nor those weird snake gourds.

I'm a bot. I detect haiku.

I found you by your reference to Harrison Lake. I am in Owasso OK... we are neighbors (of sorts). I enjoyed your fishing by hand skills. Thanks for everything!

Yeah, I think next time I head that way I'll give you a heads up! I actually catch a lot of fish by hand sometimes. Good skill to have if I ever need it!

haha =) Thanks for sharing this story with us =) Your son will never forget this!
Best regards out of the van

Ehh that snake...I thought it would pop at you any moment...I did not find that snake beautiful at all haha...it seemed so dangerous...I can never imagine doing something like this :)

The people in the Norther Territory in Australia measure road distance by the beer can, ( not far, only a couple of cans = 3/4 of an hour driving down the road)

I used to measure driving distance by cigarettes when I was a chain-smoker. Certain towns were only about three cigarettes away. Now I just use the odometer.

Far less interesting watching numbers clivk over, 3 cigerettes away would be the next village?
The other fun one was being taken to visit someones house, do the intro bit, then instead of being asked whether I would like a tea or coffee, the questipon was " full or light", meaning full strength beer or light alcohol beer,
The Northen Territory " stubbie" ( small bottle) is over a quart in size ( bigger than a long neck bottle)
One of the joys of visiting, how the same thing is called/ bescribed in different ways.

Your kids are gonna have so many wonderful memories!
Great idea. I'll be watching for the window smash post 🤔 LOL

The underwater video added a nice touch. Just have monster truck stuff the duck under his shirt, nobody will notice.... lol
