Lichen habitats stuck to rocks or trees, or above ground level. The Lichen size varies from a very small form to a length of several meters.
Lichen plays an important role in succession because of its ability to grow in areas where it is not possible for other plants to live, other than that moss lichen is widely used as a medicinal material, used in the chemical industry, and is used as an indicator of pollution levels around the area it occupies.
