When the weather starts turning cooler and the leaves turn colour, then it is the perfect time to take a walk through Lazienki Royal Park in Warsaw, the capital of Poland.

In the eighteenth century, King Stanislaw August developed the already beautiful gardens by adding palaces, monuments, statues and tree-lined avenues. It was primarily a royal retreat from the city, but also a place to entertain esteemed guests.
W XVIII w. Król Stanisław August opracował już piękne ogrody, dodając pałace, pomniki, posągi i zadrzewioną aleję. Była to przede wszystkim rezydencja królewska, ale także miejsce na rozrywki.
Now it is one of the most beautiful and popular parks in Poland, and draws tourists from around the world. However, get there early, and the park will be mostly empty, except for a few joggers and locals, and of course, the red squirrels scurrying about hiding their nuts!
Obecnie jest to jedno z najpiękniejszych parków w Polsce, które przyciąga turystów z całego świata. Jedź tam wcześnie, park będzie pusty, z wyjątkiem kilku biegaczy i mieszkańców, a oczywiście czerwone wiewiórki, które chowają się o ukrycie ich orzechów!
It is not a very big park, but nicely laid out, with a scenic lake and a neo-classical palace built on an island. There are many other smaller buildings and monuments, including an Orangery, Chinese pagoda & amphitheater.
To nie jest bardzo duży park, ale ładnie wyłożony, z malowniczym jeziorem i neoklasycznym pałacem zbudowanym na wyspie. Istnieje wiele innych mniejszych budynków i zabytków, w tym oranżeria, chińska pagoda i amfiteatr.
Its a great place to escape from the busy hustle of the centre of the city, and reconnect with nature, sit and stare at the trees, and think about life...
