Yep, I saw it and took the photo, looked back at the photo and felt slightly dumbfounded at what this animal was doing. Typically, when orca perform this behaviour it is due to them attempting to flick something in the air, which is something they are hunting - generally a harbour seal... However, nothing was shot up into the sky, which would suggest the orca missed its target.
Lucky fishing boat in the background you think? Well, to be honest this private boat ripped over at high speed and practically parked on top of the pod of Bigg's orca so they could have a close encounter with the apex predators of the oceans. How do I know that - well, I watched them do it. Also, their rods are away, which means they weren't out there to fish anymore - they purposely drove on the animals at speed to get into that position.. That type of driving really irks me and I have to bite my tongue in order to not react in a way/say something that I know I will regret later on.
