Elefantes/ Elephants

in #nature5 years ago

Welcome to my post community steemit, today I want to talk about an incredible animal that unfortunately the human being is leading this species to extinction these are the elephants, as a child I have loved these animals, they are majestic and impressive there are three types of elephants in The world and several sub species besides that have an extinct species that is the famous mammoth, also to add more on this animal. The largest elephant that has been hunted, of which we have record, weighed around 11 000 kg (Angola, 1956), reaching a height on the cross of 3.96 m, one meter higher than the average African elephant. But what EH read and EH seen about them is sad, to see how the human being with his poaching is leading them to extinction this is due to several reasons, for his ivory of the tusks that have great value in the black market especially in Asia since it is believed that ivory has "healing" properties and the other unfortunately is for sport, it is sad to see that the largest terrestrial animal is disappearing due to human ignorance. But the important thing is that there are people in the world who protect them and many have the great job of caring for the ecosystem of these majestic animals, I had the fortune to meet this animal in person and it was an experience that I will always keep in mind and hope to have the great fortune to see this incredible animal in its environment. In the photo I leave you a wonderful adult African elephant.
