Waoo... More than 500 years old... It even seems strange to think of it.
May be a more thorough analysis can give an insight about the gene that prevents aging... There must be something special in these animal which make them immune to death for so long.

Good suggestion, and I'm sure that there are already a lot of researchers who are trying to figure it out! It would be amazing if we could one day learn the secret behind this longevity!
