1: Talks about Jimmy Butler heading to the Celtics for the 3rd round pick, likely more involved in the trade but those are the main two pieces in the talks.
2: Celtics apparently have a large interest in Anthony Davis (who wouldn't). Seems unlikely seeing the price for AD would be astronomical in my opinion.
- If the Celtics keep the 3rd round pick, its seems like Josh Jackson from Kansas is their guy! He a SF and has the ability to get to the lane is tough and athletic. Needs to develop his shot but reports have said "Jackson is a perfect fit, He is the kind of guy Danny Ainge lives for!"
NBA Draft is Thursday night, going to be interesting to see how everything plays out. (It is more exciting than the actual season)
Yes that is what looks like will happen. They want to trade that #3 overall for Jimmy Butler. To me it's a win win. He would be a perfect fit in Boston with Isaiah Thomas in the back court. They were not gonna use the #1 on a PG anyway. So either way they get a player they wanted in the first place which would have been Josh Jackson if they can't trade the pick.
They also want to sign Gordon Heyward which would be great for them. This is a team that has the best record in the Eastern Conference and made it to the conference finals. They will give Lebron and Co some competition which forces the Cavs to try and get Paul George.
For the Bulls they need to push the reset button. Jimmy Butler is their only asset. Maybe tank a couple of seasons.
Will be fun to watch this draft, the deals, and some teenagers becoming instant millionaires.
I agree i have been wanting them to trade the #1 pick since the lottery. But stocking up for the future draft and still being able to make another trade getting valuable pieces with the 3rd pick! Huge win for the Celtics, they have been killing it in the offseasons!
