Kyrie Irving requested to be traded from the Cavs last week.

Apparently, he wants a bigger role and no longer wants to be the sidekick to Lebron James. Reporters are saying that LeBron was "blindsided and disappointed" by this news.
I'm not buying that. Not the fact that Kyrie wants a trade, but that LeBron was blindsided. I find it hard to believe that anything happens in the NBA that LeBron doesn't at least have an idea about. That dude has been running the league for the last 10 years and has basically single handedly changed the entire landscape of the league (along with Steph Curry to a lesser extent)
What I think this all really means is that LeBron is definitely leaving the team after the 2017-18 season, and Kyrie knows this. He wants to get out now. Lets face it, the Cavaliers are maxed out in terms of salary and have no roster moves to make the team better. Kyrie realizes that the team is going to be bad once LeBron is gone, and he wants to be moved now so that he's not stuck on the sinking ship.
I wouldn't be surprised if both LeBron and Kyrie are not on the Cavs by the end of the season. If they can't make moves to bring in more talent before the trade deadline, they have no shot at beating the Warriors and the Cavs would be smart to start the rebuild process. Trading Lebron and Kyrie could be the best thing they could do, as crazy as that may seem.
