The real world application of this coin? They are one of the few who are actually focussing on the real world: business!
Remember, the real world isn't using digital currency yet. Everything is still speculative. That is the fun of it. (I realize there are some car dealership that take Bitcoin and we have Overstock.com, of course.) It isn't commonly used, yet.
